AMD Radeon RX480 8GB!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok first of all I was an early adopter and I own a Reference RX480 if you do not know what that means it simply means an early first batch AMD made version of the card. This version made by XFX and powered by AMD takes the reference card and builds off it to make a new card sometimes a complete redesign but overall the same card, this card stays WAY cooler sometimes the fans do not even need to spinup. the Quick Change fans are sweet, and running 2 of them in Crossfire is amazing also. I highly Recommend this to anyone looking for amazing performance on a budget or a card that can do VR on a budget.

More than I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This particular GPU was a moments notice purchase for me. I had got my new PSU and custom cables in that matched my NZXT elite black/red and during the build I felt that the GTX 760 I had just wasnt suited to sit in this PC anymore. So I went to my local best buy and voila! I had been researching and viewing benchmarks and the new GTX and AMD line up for a few months and was ultimately torn between the GTX 1060 from EVGA or an XFX RX 480. I wasnt able to make a decision until I noticed that newegg had the XRX RX 480 RS 8GB on sale for $209, coincidentally that was on the same day I was working on my PC build. So I called my local BB and asked if they would match the sales price, sure enough they did. What was nice about this card from BB is that it came with the white led fans where as the one on newegg did not, so there was a immediate freebe for me. The card is far superior to the GTX 760 I had sitting in my PC and I noticed a massive bump in FPS in a majority of my games. id say this card is very much worth the money spent on it and has me itching fora second once I get my ryzen machine built.

SERIOUS BANG FOR THE BUCK
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This GPU is excellent. Catch it on sale and it's waaaaaay better! It runs games like Black Desert Online at 60fps on max settings. Has ran every game I've thrown at without any temperature issues. CPUZ has had a temp of 70* Celsius under a full load. Usually, it sits around 53-60* Celsius. Honestly, doesn't need an overclock, but you can. XFX has been making gpu cards of high quality for years now. The reason I purchased it was because of XFX. Pair this with an intel 6500k or higher and you will have a nice gaming beast. I run a 6700k and they get along great! The LEDs are super bright! Gorgeous card... fans aren't too loud and they only run when the card is being used. At idle, they don't move!

XFX is Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a RX 480 since it was announced and glad that I finally got the chance to test it out after those pesky prices came down! My version is the RS (Best Buy) with White LED’s but recently XFX sent me some RED LED’s (XFX is now selling their hard swap fans in Red, White and Blue) to check out and they are just as cool looking. At stock speeds it will run at 1288MHz without an issue. On top of the awesome hard swap fans that XFX is doing, it also has Zero Noise which allows the fans to not spin under light loads. It will auto start on its own based on temps, you can of course customize this with AMD Wattman or other 3rd party app. I have always liked this feature as it keeps my PC to a bare minimum of sounds where only my barely noticeable water pump is all that I can hear since I have Noctua Blacks running at low RPM. I have always liked the look of XFX GPU’s and with this newest tech that hasn’t changed. The black has always seemed more clean to me. The XFX LED is a nice bright white as well very clear too. Another major plus with this GPU is an awesome aluminum backplate! Since the backplate is often seen more than anything else I have felt that every GPU should have one, I know they all don’t but they should. It makes it that much nicer in a case. This GPU is VR ready! I don’t know if I every plan on getting a VR headset but it’s nice to know that if I do, it’s set up for it to go. For under $300 this is a great card for 1080p gaming! It will hold 60FPS or more for most games on Ultra and barely dip down. The quality in graphics seem crisp and clear, which I really like. It gets even better for me since it’s paired with an Asus MG279Q Freesync monitor! I do game at 1440p most of the time on it and it does hold its own on that resolution as well. It’s not as good at that compared to 1080p but it’s still quite smooth. I barely notice a difference in most games. Having DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0b is a plus for a lot of people. I for one use DVI and DisplayPort. FinFet 14nm technology is a win in my book! Vulkan, Mantle ready and DX12 support with Windows 10. XFX offers a 3-year warranty on the GPU and 5-year for the fans. Great performance and a low price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was blown away by how well this card performs. I put it in an old Phenom II machine that I build about 5 years ago. My main rig is an i7 with a gtx 1080, but this computer it my home media pc, that I occasionally use for light gaming. Even with that old processor, I was able to get 40 fps on Doom at 4k with the settings very high for the most part. On battlefield 4 I was hovering around 90 fps. This is a very capable card for the price. I don't really care for the aesthetics of the card, and the white leds are extremely bright, but it's not in a windowed case, so I wasn't really going for aesthetics.

Bang for your BUCK!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I run two of these XFX RX 480 8gb cards in crossfire for most heavy games and I have the FPS set to my monitors refresh rate which is 144hz. When i was running only one card it did the job very well. It runs COD BO3 on ultra 1080p around 85-95 FPS all day. If you can catch them on sale like i did, its well worth the money. The first card i got on sale for 229.99 and the second on sale for 239.99. Worth every penny. Especially being I am a budget builder.

One of the best after market RX480 card!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is a great value for the price. It runs most of the AAA titles in ultra settings at 1080p. Also with this price point, you can easily buy another one and use crossfire to go with 4K resolution at a lower price point than green team counterparts. Unlike the reference version of RX480 it does not heat up significantly. It often runs at around 58-64C (compared to 78-84C reported for other after market and reference cards). The fans will even stop when you pause the game for about 30 seconds. It is very quiet and does not have a notable coil whining. I am pretty happy with this specific card and would recommend it to people who has a tight budget but wants to game with no issues.

Great Card - Easy to Install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To start out with - I've always built my own computers and I have always been a fan of Radeon products even before AMD purchased them. Yes GeForce and AMD seem to leapfrog each other in terms of performance over time, however I've always thought AMD's drivers/software/extras were the difference. I've only had this card for 2 months now so comments on longevity cannot be made. I chose this card because it seems to hit a nice price-point of performance/price combination. You can run games at 1080p at decent framerates and it is smooth. Of course it's not on par with the thousand dollar cards - but I have no desire to spend that much. This card was put into a computer that is over 2 years old. The previous card could not keep up with games coming out now - this one can. So far it is a very good purchase.

Best rx 480 out there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've bought xfx products since the xfx 270x 4gb card came out this card is awesome I was able to hit a stable overclocked on the amd software to 1310mhz at 1150mv stable DO NOT MESS WITH THE MEMORY! If you do it freezes up fans are a little loud but for the cooling it needs overclocked it's not bad at all got a score of close to 17000 in firestrike in crossfire overclocked with a ryzen 1700 was awesome beat my 8370 and r9 390x 8gb of score but double I was stunned by the performance. Highly suggest it for one card crossfire if you can afford it is that much better

Great mid-level graphics card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're trying to purchase this GPU for high end 4K, intense VR, or heavy streaming, I wouldn't recommend it. This is not a top of the line, incredibly high intensity graphics card. If you're like me, however, and want an amazing and affordable card, this is the way to go. Using this card I am able to play any game I have in my library on Ultra graphics, and I don't see myself having issues with games anytime soon. The card was incredibly easy to install and runs very quiet and cool. I have it paired with an 8-core AMD FX processor and 12GB of RAM.

Just the right balance price/performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrade from a 2gb AMD 7850, getting much less artifacts in FPS and benchmarks scores show double the performance. This card is better than the blower style for my needs. Look forward to purchasing a freesync monitor to pair with this. Almost overkill for 1080p with today's games.

What a Difference!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from Dual ATI 6970s. Upgrading others computers you sometimes forget about your own rig. But since the release of Battlefield 1 and Star Wars Battlefront my dual cards couldn't play either of the games, so good medium budget upgrade. The single card specs surpass my old duals and load times on Battlefield 4 got cut in half. Was experiencing some lag, not anymore and FPS is double what it was, even at ultra settings. It was this or spending another $250+ on the GTX 1070 Founders but since i just do not game as much as use to I just didn't feel the need to spend that much. Very happy with my purchase.

Great Video Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The short: Buy this. Best 1080p gaming card and this will even take you in 1440p if you choose. The long: Is this the best, most powerful, most bigly card ever? No. But when you do a price to performance comparison, the RX 480 comes out ahead. With the 8GB version, there is enough VRAM to help future proof the card (will be able to play newer games that load very high quality textures into the VRAM). It is strong enough to play any game at 1920x1080 (1080p) with excellent frames per second (FPS) if not always over 60FPS. If you are looking at this, you also need to consider the GTX 1060 6GB. Do not look at the GTX 1060 3GB as it is a different chip that the 6GB model. I chose the RX 480 8GB over the GTX 1060 6GB because overall it as a better card and it was more cost effective to choose the RX 480 8GB. It was a no brainier. Better FPS in the games I play and less cash out my pocket.

Great Graphics Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this card to cut down on power use from a r9 390 and it has done well. I actually bought a second one and have been using it with crossfire for a few months and it has been great. I get great quality with GTAV, Assassin's creed syndicate, and rise of the tomb raider. Good card at a low cost.

Excellent value/performance.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 RX 480s. AMD drivers work well in Windows 10. Crossfire works great. Benchmark scores and game frame rates are great. Price was excellent. Got 2 cards for slightly higher price of the competing single GTX card I considered.

Great Card - Best Value at this Time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a beast. I replaced my 650Ti with this guy while running a i5-4400. I bought a used PC and it needed an upgrade. I bought this thing before even booting up the old one. Came home - bench-marked with Fire-strike and scored a 2800 with the 650ti Replaced the card with the RX480 8 gig and ran the benchmark. Scored a 9800 on Fire-strike. After installing I can run Forza 3 at top settings at a solid 75 FPS. It's a great card.
