Lets me hear my tv so much better for I have hearing lost

OI was looking for a soundbar to improve dialog. My setup is output from both tv and this sound bar. The delay is significant enough to make it sounds like an echo. Didn't experience this with other sound bars from LG or Sony. Confusion Spotify support. I added it to my Spotify but it's play via phone bluetooth. Not direct connection. On the plus side, it has ethernet connection which I prefer.

The sound bar greatly improved audio for a new TV.

I read rave reviews about this, and, knowing that Yamaha has a reputation in the recording industry, decided this would be a great soundbar. Nope. First thing I noticed was the brittle, sibilant high frequency boost on everything. I mean not every wind is an icy wind, but you wouldn't know that listening to this thing. I thought maybe it was a setting, perhaps movie mode is better? Nope. Night mode? Ouch. The phantom center channel makes dialogue sound like I'm listening through a solo cup. The built in "subwoofers" sounded distorted and flabby at medium volume watching Rise of Skywalker. About the only positive thing I can say is it will pass HDMI ARC from your device to your TV, so it doesn't waste an HDMI port. Buy this if you have advanced hearing loss, and rely on subtitles anyways.

These items were purchased in Sept. & Oct. It took me 1 1/2 hours to arrange delivery and set up. The set up is a problem b/c they could not arrange techs to come in a timely manner and I have to wait several weeks to get the job completed. I will review the items when they are delivered and in use.

If you put to much base it sound a bit wired but other then that it’s good for a tv in a bedroom.

The remote doesn’t work unless the sound bar is tilted on its side, best if it was on the wall.

Better sound stage and bass versus TV speakers. App is an afterthought. Nice build quality. Just cannot compete with three channel soundbar for clarity of dialogue-returned it.

Video game and movies sound OK with it but music sucks. But better then the TV quality

Was optimistic with this one given other reviews. Personally, was not too impressed. Sound gets muddled once you reach a certain level

Not Fan of this device. Would I buy it again? No way. Sound quality is not up to par. I have it mounted flat in front of TV and it's difficult to tell if it's doing anything when you ask Alexa for something. I threw out the box or I would have returned. It's unplugged collecting dust at the moment.

When you buy a soundbar you do it to get better sound. The price on this is way over market value, the controls are impossible to see unless you mount it on the wall. And they are still hard to see, there are good controls but no way to know if they are active or not. very unsatisfied

Could not get Bluetooth to work reliably. Otherwise, a very good product

I have had the previous model for about 6 years problem free but wanted to upgrade the bar to my newer tv and streamline my Alexa network by getting rid of my Dot and associated wires and extra speaker,..Initially it worked well and I was happy with the purchase and ease of conectivity with my other devices through the Yamaha app....BUT, after a days use my phone and tablet couldn't connect via bluetooth-wifi without inputting basic connection info again, and again and again....Also the unit just randomly turns off and switches back to my tv speakers....After researching fixes/patches and tyring that route nothing has worked thus far and have filed a return claim....Don't buy. Lots of stuff on the web stating similiar situations.
