Great for folks who are willing to go for a soundbar that’s a bit larger, but has 3” speakers making a sub unnecessary unless you really insist on feeling the low end. This won’t do that, but you can add a sub if you need. I always trust Yamaha. No frills but it’s reliable and the sound is flat, not artificially boosted in the lows and highs. Didn’t think we’d care about Alexa, but alas, she now controls the kitchen lights and the toddler loves it. And I love being able to turn off the mic by touching the soundbar, not having to open an app.

Works very well! Only weird setting is that it turns off automatically after several hours of usage despite still receiving audio input. Can't find a setting to change that....

Easy set up and sounds amazing out of the box. The bass is just enough without needing a separate woofer. A couple steps up from my Sony sound bar!

The sound quality is excellent for the money. When coupled with a subwoofer, it's perfect for music & movies/TV in a small to medium sized room.

Fantastic sound and so easy to set up. Highly recommend this soundbar if you are looking for a great one at a good price.

I have been very impressed by the clarity and volume that has come from this soundbar. The bass level is also impressive, especially considering that it does not come with a separate subwoofer. This is a very good soundbar for the money.

I purchased this sound bar for my living room. I was not looking for something amazing - just something to amplify the experience a bit. This sounder was frustrating to use as it would continually turn itself off in the middle of shows. The longest it ever went was 20 minutes before turning off. The remote control was inconsistent and the lack of visual cues from your seated position as to what was happening was annoying. I would have to get up and walk back to the sound bar to figure out what needed to happen. I ended up returning the unit.

Easy set-up. Sounds great even without a separate subwoofer which I have on all my other soundbars.

This sound bar is great. Bluetooth and Alexa capable. I do recommend an additional subwoofer to get the best sound!

The sound bar definitely improves the sound compared to the TV speakers. I like that it also works with Alexa.

The sound quality is great. You get good sounding lows out of this sound bar. The alexa feature is a plus.

I tried this Yamaha sound bar without the sub woofer and I found it lacking. Honestly it has much better sound than TV speakers but lacks the bass of a sub woofer. The 209 comes with a sub which I think would be a great system.

Sound quality is outstanding. Took a while to integrate with Alexa and other devices. Worth the hassle

Good sound many features so far so good subwoofers sound really good to for it to be build all in one .... BUT IF IT WASN'T WIFI CONNECTED WOULD'VE BEEN MUCH MUCH BETTER........

The rating is excellent because of our expectations and what the manufacturer promised. In a smaller room with a smaller TV we often found ourselves asking: "What did he say?" The soundbar does a great job enhancing dialogue and provides a very good upgrade to the TV's speaker system. It provides some enhanced base but don't expect booming sound (which we didn't). Overall it does what was promised and that's what we wanted.
