I bought this has as open box, for use with speakers wired to outside patio. Has enough power for a pleasant level to a reasonable mid level for this area. At the open box price it is a bargin!

Like everything but the remote. The infrared remote has to be pointed right at the receiver face to work. Will not work from an angle or the side

As advertised. Previously owned a pioneer that was difficult to program and manage. This Yamaha has been a breeze from set up to utilization.

This was fairly inexpensive. It's actually lower wattage than my last Yamaha AV receiver. I think for my family's purposes -- a general family room home theater -- it does an excellent job

Many advanced features in an affordable budget-priced Receiver. I needed multiple HDMI inputs to accommodate multiple components. This receiver has plenty. Great value from Best Buy.

I have been very pleased with this receiver, the quality is awesome. Yamaha is an excellent brand, and I would not buy any other!

Works fine and has plenty of power for my 20x15 basement room. It seems to reset the settings if it gets unplugged or I lose power. Overall, it is solid for the price.

Purchased for my husband for his birthday. He loves it. It's an updated model of our older one. Powers surround speakers, sub and ceiling speakers perfectly.

Upgraded from my old Yamaha to this model for the HDMI connnection when purchasing a new TV. Great 5.1 sound!!

for what I am using it for its great. I have 2 tvs and 6 speakers in my man cave. Its simple to hook up and easy to use. so far so good.

Needed to hook up composite cables to surround . Worked great. Has both rca and hdmi hook ups

Using only Sony bookshelf stereo speakers and it sounds like a 5.1 setup. Lovin' it Big Time.

This replacement works fine for the not so critical listener. Only thing we had to do was purchase a new cable since the connection was different than our previous much older receiver. Salesman at Best Buy was great! He recommended this receiver for our particular listening needs and even drew diagrams showing us how to install it. Thanks Best Buy!
