This product repeatedly shuts itself off for no reason. It has what Yamaha calls a "Protective Circuit" that after being triggered 3 times the unit must be serviced. Thank heaven it has a 2 year warrantee, if u buy this product, you'll need it.

I bought this unit summer 2013 (it was RX-V375 at that time). I had trouble right from the get go. I took it back to Best Buy, waited 2 weeks for them to ship it back to Yamaha for repair. The unit still has the repair sticker marked 8-2013. The unit worked satisfactory after that. Today is 11-9-2014. The unit again is non-operationl. Manufacture warranty is for one year. It is now garbage. I have an older Yamaha receiver that this one replaced, it is more than 15 years old and still works. I think that after my initial problems Yamaha should have sent me a new unit, this one is obviously bad. I have purchased many Yamaha products over the years, but this will be my last.
