I bought this for my husband for Christmas to replace his 1980's receiver and I am amazed at how easy it was to set up and all the options it has!

This is an exceptional buy for the money. Really easy to operate. Especially good with the apple app.

I bought a returned/reboxed version at a very good price, so I'm willing to live with the fact that there are some reception problems when I listen to my local NPR station (e.g., when I turn on a vibrating chair cushion that's NOT plugged in to the same outlet, the reception stops.) However, the sound is fine and the remote is relatively easy to use.

The Yamaha-500W 5.1-Ch 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver I got was a good buy. The sound was so clear, it's like watching a movie in a theater at home and it was easy to set up.

I have some large speakers but the Yamaha is more than adequate on delivering a nice clean sound.

Wrong remote control. Best buy, will you make this correct for me? Sure would be easier for you to order a new remote control than myself.

This unit makes movie watching more enjoyable since flat panels usually have mediocre speakers built in. Easy to use and set up. Remote is a bit more than basic but has all the featured I need. In hind sight I should have purchased the network version of the same model to have web functionality and remote control via phone/tablet. It is stylish and sounds great.

While moving into our new home my fiance and I noticed that TV room was wired for surround sound so we decided to take advantage of it and purchase a receiver. We did some internet research and visited best buy a few times to gain some insight into prices and quality. Once we decided on the type of receiver we wanted we kept an eye on the Open Box items for a few weeks. The receiver we wanted showed up so we jumped on it and couldn't be happier. Great sound and quality. Easy to set up. Would definitely recommend.

This was a fantastic upgrade from my second-hand receiver I owned before. I have all of my media devices and computer plugged in and it all works great. It comes with an instructional disc and a booklet with more than adequate directions on how to set everything up with your HDMI cables. There are also lots of configuration settings you can play with via an on-screen menu. For my little setup, I like it a lot!

Arty first confusing. But sounds great. Needs to have book Manuel. I don't like CD Manuel

This is a nice receiver for the price . It's easy to hook up and provided a great sound .

Excellent sound with excellent speaker dispersement right out of the box. Did not need to use the YPAO to adjust the speakers.
