Receiver is ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Receiver is ok. Somewhat complicated to program. Wish it came with a booklet and not via online.

Great Product. Easy setup.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first receiver I have owned. My daughter and I set it up and had a movie playing in less than an hour. I would recommend picking up some 16 gauge speaker wire. The wire the unit comes with is very weak. I'm no expert when it comes to sound quality but I can't imagine needing anything more. Our living room is 400 SqFt with a vaulted ceiling and the sound fills the room just fine. The only thing I didn't like was that the instruction manual was on a CD Rom the requires a connection to the internet to view.

My second AV. Not so great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited with the new av but i have an issue connect the arc with my tv. Sometimes the AV won't play the HDMI cable box. My tv will start blinking and there's no sound.

great amp for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great entry level amp. Sound took quite a while to get right, the microphone was fairly useless in my setup, but once I put in the distances of each speaker from where I sit it sounded great. I wish this model was not made in china.. the models 1 step above are all made in an actual yamaha factory. This is farmed out to a factory in China not owned by Yamaha. This is my 1st yamaha amp, I have had 2 others by Pioneer in the past. This one sounds just as good. Not worth FULL MSRP however.

Initially Tentative Totally Surprised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made the move to 4K and was looking for a replacement to the Pioneer system I had. I originally wanted the pioneer system in 4K but Matt suggested the Yamaha. I'm very pleased because we now know what high quality sound is. It's not Base sound but for the price and existing equipment it's close.

Excellent sound!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This receiever produces excellent sound. It brought out the best in my old speakers by producing a fuller, richer sound. I replaced my old Sony 80 watt system with this and I am very pleased. Recommend Geek Squad for set up.

Lots of features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This receiver is a bit taller than I would've hoped, but it has plenty of features for this price point. It currently drives my two speaker units, along with routing all of the HDTV audio through the receiver. It works great with a chromecast.

Run away
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had nothing but problems with this unit. I gotten outages in both units before and now I'm beginning to experience small outages just like the other two. I figure by next month I'll need to exchange it once again. I'm still trying to find a compatible blu Ray that would play 3D movies. Recently tried the Sony S6500 with no success Good luck if you buy this one been at it since August and it's been a terrible experience with Best Buys as well. Will not accept acountsbility over recommending a non compatible unit
