I have always been a fan of Yamaha. This is my third Yamaha receiver, and the only reason I have replaced each one was to gain newer technology. This receiver is their entry level model, but you wouldn't know it by the sound and the feature set.

I debated getting the slight upgrade with the front USB port and other tweaks. I'm glad I saved the funds. Setup was easy and I really like the functionality and variety of pre-programmed modes. I suspect it's maximum output would fry my ears before my speakers, but it's for the living room not the concert hall.

Bought this receiver after discovering our original receiver no longer worked. It's easy to set up, and provides plenty of inputs for all of our various devices. It took some trial and error to figure out which input correlated to the digital optical input, and sometimes it switches inputs from the digital optical randomly. Otherwise, very pleased with the purchase.

Had a Yamaha for years that just went out prior to this purchase. This model has higher wattage capabilities and the sound is incredible! It comes with a microphone antenna feature that plugs in at setup so it automatically adjusts volume level for all speakers with ease. I highly recommend this receiver!

I"m not technicaly savvy enough to make a credible review, but it does have better sound than my old unit and has more technical capabilities than I am capable of understanding and is compatible with my smart TV, which is also smarter than me. Fortunately. I have grandchildren to help me in that regard.

Does what I want to power my surround sound setup. One minor mistake I made is there are not enough connectors to also hook up our bedroom speakers. It's minor because we rarely used them It powers the five surround sound speakers in the family room. Easy to use and does what I want

Yamaha is a well trusted brand and I have used their products for years! This receiver that I bought was a replacement for one that I bought around 20 years ago - Not a lot has changed on these receivers over the years except a few bells and whistles but this receiver still sounds about the same as my old one. It is a very good sounding receiver although.

This receiver has a great sound and it has great features.

I think the product works very well so far. Fairly easy to set up and use. I was not happy with the customer service. I sent an email with a question. It took 3 days for a response, and then the question wasn't answered. I called customer service and after 45 minutes on hold I gave up. I did find the on line chat to be successful.
