I've been extremely pleased with this since purchasing it to replace an older unit. The amount of functionality packed into this, for the price, can't be beat. I would highly recommend it!

Love the pass through feature. Has been a great product for us. Currently playing an Apple TV, Sony Blu Ray and a Nintendo Wii through this box. Had to get an HDMI adapter for the Wii.

I use the receiver as part of my general entertainment system. I have the input hooked up to ARC on my smart tv. Arc was the only way that it worked for me.

Nice base level receiver - does everything I need and more. Look for the next level if you need wireless speaker capabilities. It doesn't seem to play nice with the LG-uhd8500 series regarding arc - having to use optical.

Flawless connection for speakers and connectivity to my TV only problem is cec on/off using TV remote.Full system turns off with TV remote but won't turn on with TV remote I have to use receiver remote to turn sound on.

This replaced a 20+ year old Sony Pro Logic receiver for my grandparents. ARC settings confused me a bit at first, but it has worked well and the learning curve for my grandparents, both in their 80's, wasn't' too steep.

For 225, you can't go wrong. The only low for this in my opinion was lack of airplay, however Apple TV is better for that feature anyway. Excellent pick for my finished basement.

This is my 3rd Yamaha receiver, as I've needed new ones through the years to keep up with changing technology. I've never had an issue and this is another solid performer.

Gave it a try in my system..... Did not like the wire nuts in the back. Front L & R had tradition nuts but balance had a push button hole to put wire thru. Just to small for my premium wires.. Returned unit

Couldn't be happier has everything I wanted to support my 4K tv and Xbox one s makes the picture beautiful and the sound is like being in a movie theater highly recommended

Spend some time reading up on HDMI ARC and how you want to connect things up. Connected an X box, Blue ray, PC and TV to it and back to my surround sound speakers.

Perfect for my home surround system for satellite and NetFlix programming. It has way more capability than I'm actually using. I'd definitely recommend this unit.

Yamaha makes great audio equipment and this one doesn't disappoint. There are more expensive units and brands, but this fits the bill perfectly for the money.

Not as easy to set up for sound thats pleasing. My old yamaha created better sound for movies and music and it 10 years old. Still am tweaking the setup.

I purchased this for a friend because it exceeds their needs and yet it is very cost effective. What I really liked about it was the ease to setup.

I have had yamaha for years and have had great service from them . One reciever is close to 15 years old and never turned off and still working today

Bought this to replace my old receiver that fritzed when my wife spilled pop on it and it works great in my living room setup with my Xbox.

A little hard to navigate at first, but after playing with it for awhile, it's rock and roll baby! Love the many functions that are options.
