I like the ability to input several devices (Roku, BluRay) into the receiver and have all of them output to the TV, but the setup is more complicated than it should be. I'm still tweaking settings weeks after buying it.

This is my 3 stereo purchase in 2years. I am very happy. I did not need all the high tech that comes with the others. Has just what I need. Thank you Best Buys great customer service and has worked with me on all 3 purchases.

Not the greatest but I needed the receiver because my old one died. I stuck with Yamaha and it works OK but it would take too much time (for me at least) to figure out how to get the most use out of it.

When I bought the receiver, I thought it would fit in my Tv stand, but it was too large. Ended up returning it & getting something else to get the job done.

Could not pair my IPhone 6. Symbols and secret codes displayed (decipherable with the downloadable manual). I returned it. It might be fine for others, but I prefer a simple user-friendly product. I don't want to spend more than about 5 minutes learning to use it. And I definitely don't want to have to search a manual to see what a little tiny symbol or partially spelled cryptic message means. if you're still reading this you should Youtube 'The Onion Sony Releases'. It's hilarious.

Good product worked well the previous one I purchased didn't work so I returned and bought this one after the sale on the receivers had expired

The remote control is not very sensitive. It also does not learn the controls from other remotes. So you have multiple remote controls.

Although the cable is good, I wanted a shorter one. The store did not carry it so I bought the longer one since I had a discount.

I bought this and had it hooked up to my old dlp tv before my new 70" vizio e series tv was delivered. Once i hooked it up to my vizio (the exact same cord set up), my audio would cut in and out on all inputs. I tried using av hookups to and from my cable box, hdmi, and ciax cable but it produced the same issue. Needless to say i returned it and am just using my old sony receiver. It was pretty disappointing!

Definitely a upgrade from my previous receiver but it doesn't allow you to listen to music and watch TV at the same time

Good low end receiver but for the technology savvy person I would stay away from this product i returned it the next day

I returned this item because it did not have enough HDMI ports to enable me to configure my home theater system

Once I got it configured with my TV - which took two days and three calls to tech support I'm okay with it.

Right in line with the price point. If budget it tight then this product will work just fine

Does not have a second zone capability. Otherwise a good entry level reciever.

Overall a good receiver for what i need. Good for home entertainment

The particular tuner did not have RCA outputs which I needed. I could not imagine Yamaha doing away with them. As a result the tuner was useless to me and I unfortunately missed the 30 day return window and got stuck with the tuner.

This receiver is a good choice if you're not fully prepared to buy a bunch of IoT products quite yet. However, this is a very involved piece of equipment that offers a ton of features at an economy price. The best advice here is read the instruction manual and understand what connections you need to make for all components and speakers. That said, within an hour I had this running in 5.1 and set up completely to my own liking. Once the set up phase was done I have continued to fine tune everything but that is a given since no CD, DVD, or Bluetooth device has the same sound levels. I have played this unit for 8 hours straight with no issue. Started with a rap cd, then to an electronic selection and into some heavy rock, then put in some Sci-fi movies. Once the EQ and speaker levels are set, it's pretty much just finding balance across the different media and adjusting to suit your ear. I did not require the set up microphone, since I have plenty experience with live sound and studio sound equipment, but it is a good feature for the novice and surround sound enthusiast. Not that it is useless, but for my purposes not needed. You will want to have the proper range of equipment ie: highs, mids, low end speakers and center channel. Without a sub-woofer, there really is no point in buying a receiver, just get a boombox. All in all, if a high tech device, which is a step away from the most cutting edge is what you desire, this should tick all the boxes for specs.
