Decent entry level receiver. pretty good value for the money.

small room lots of sound took 3 trips to get the right set up

I absolutely love the connectivity of my Yamaha receiver, I can control music via the app on my phone in my great room, my home theatre, my bedroom as well as outside on my deck with Yamaha MusicCast speakers. It’s so easy to set up and the sound is impeccable.

My 7 year old Yamaha receiver got fried through the cable box. Boo-Hoo... I replaced it with this model and was astounded at the level of technology compared to the previous model. I give kudos to the apps associated with the latest Adventage receivers. I cannnot be happier!

*Open Box Purchase RX-A660 (not 665) I've used & enjoyed Yamaha receiver/amps for many years. Normally they are a great value. Bang for the buck combined with watt rating accuracy & high fidelity made these a personal favorite. This one packs a lot of goodies into a small but heavy package. ...in short it packed More power than I felt it was rated at. That was great...But- I did everything in my power (including calling Yamaha) to straighten out a LipSyncing issue which was pervasive from all source material. Nothing I could do. Turned out to be a hardware issue. I returned the product...& I was bummed as it otherwise Seemed to be what I was hoping for. Everything else Wi-Fi etc. worked great. I still wish their Remotes would light up for better nighttime use. I'm currently testing a lauded Sony STR-DN1080 as a potential replacement.

Purchased this unit while on a "Deal of the Day" special. Has provided many hours of music from the internet, FM sources, USB playback and vinyl. Great for home theater use. High quality audio and video reproduction.

It works well with my harmony remote so I can ask Alexa to turn grouping of components on and off, turn volume up and down, and pause and play DVR. Only thing I don't like is it takes a few seconds for sound to kick in when playing through the receiver instead of the TV speakers.

I bought this for use in an apartment after downsizing. I am a guitar player and needed a receiver that focused on music quality. This receiver does that very well. I use it mostly with two front speakers (Mattin Logan) and a nice sub.

I have no complaints about this system. It works totally as expected. Good hub for all my device and audio needs. Seems to have some sort of whole house WiFi audio thing if you buy certain speakers but I have not explored it.

We were looking for a receiver for our old Infinity Reference 6 speakers. This receiver does a fine job plus it was on sale for $200 off the regular price. One feature we really like is the built-in equalizer.

Wow! I'm familiar with the Pioneer line of high def receivers and this is definitely superior in both picture and audio output. Good brains behind the brawn for easy customization and perfect performance!

Sounds great, had a little trouble setting up network but managed to figure it out. Works great with my S7 edge no problems connecting. Note4 and S4 also good. Lack of manual in hand for at least the basics created a few challenges.

Great service and great products I had to exchange couple items was treated very good and the geek squad did an awesome job also they were very very very patient keep up the good work

So far it's been great. A bit sophisticated to use all the features. Got it because of 7.2 and live the bass sound. Replaced it with an onkyo that died after 8 years.

We are happy with the product in general but getting some of the syncing issues to work has been a little tough for us since we are not entirely tech savvy.

Product is great and love the new features, smartphone apps, etc. Just wish you could get more wattage for the money and didn't think the upgrade model with more wattage was worth the $.

I love the sound from a Yamaha. My last one was hit by lightning and I had a lot of difficulty with Yamaha in replacing the unit. I had to purchase a different one. I went with Denon.

I was very impressed with this receiver. The only negative thing is it only has four HDMI inputs. But it really does not make a difference because you can split them and get a lot more.
