This works very well. It was easy to set up and operate. The remote makes it very easy to sit back and operate from across the room. Plenty of power for my speakers and sound is excellent. Would definitely recommend this product. Affordable price.

Pretty good sounding unit for the money. For CD I run through an equalizer. Which I can make up for the lousy speak placement. The Bass and Treble works well, but could have a mid-range which would help out. Running 4 speakers and the unit has no problem powering them, and has plenty of sound. Don't lose the remote, it comes in handy for other settings. FM receiver is pretty good too! Better then my last stereo. Bluetooth fires right up, no problem connecting to S21.
I don't have any grips with the unit, Simple to use, just enough buttons to make the 'look' simple and easy to look at. I wonder if I will get 50 years out of it as that is how long the last receiver lasted. Ha!
Why I went with Yamaha receiver is because I have had good luck with Yamaha products.

I love my new receiver! Sounds great, the blue tooth is awesome. It’s nice to play my music from my phone. The 200 watts push my 4 speakers well. I’m sure my neighbors hate it lol!

I bought this for home use— driving two pairs of vintage speakers. I have some JBL studio reference monitors from the early 90's, and a second set of vintage Fishers from the late 60s. Both sound great, and sometimes I even drive BOTH pairs together. This Yamaha is so much cleaner than any common vintage receiver, and Steve Guttenberg (the Audiophiliac) has rated it as a great value. Bluetooth works great and pairs effortlessly-- I have no idea what problems others are having with it.

Purchased to replace an old garage receiver that blew a channel amp. I had an Alexa Echo Dot hardwired to the ‘old’ receiver, so it only made sense to seek a bluetooth capable replacement. While this Yamaha RS 202 bluetooth unit is great as a garage unit and functions “as advertised”, it was also below Best Buy’s List price as an Open Box purchase and sold as “Excellent Condition” (the highest level open box condition). However, It was missing the Users Manual and one of the antennas, so it should have been down graded for condition and even cheaper. Otherwise the unit itself was perfect. I reused an antenna from my previous setup, and a quick google search for a Yamaha R-S202 User’s Manual provided me all the information I needed to connect the Echo Dot up via Bluetooth in under 5 mins, making multiple Amazon Playlists available on the fly via Voice command..

#1 OPEN and Check the contents / Do Not trust the stated condition of open box items, (my box was well taped) - make the salesman open it for you, especially if you want your copy of the manual. Also, Excellent Condition costs more etc.
#2 See A Complete UnKnown and Rediscover Dylan. A remastered “How Does It Feel?” sounded great via the Yamaha R-S202 paired to a couple of bookshelf speakers and controlled by the Echo Dot!

Typical of Yamaha, good stuff. For a simple low cost amp for my shop, delivers strong sound with power to spare, and really digging the Bluetooth feature. At sound level 6.5 can hear the sounds from down the street. Very happy with purchase and would recommend for simple low cost amp for sounds.

Excellent receiver with no extra gadgets, connections or special magic wand ceremonies. Straight up connect your speakers and go. Sounds fantastic pushing my PC through this receiver using 2 Riowois bookshelf and 2 Sony bookshelf speakers and a 10 in powered sub. Low budget with expensive sound.. I cannot have been happier.

Purchased receiver to replace a 30 yr old pioneer stereo it came relatively quick and was a breeze to setup I'm very sentimental about my things but couldn't be happier with this new Yamaha very pleased.

I needed a basic stereo receiver for 2 speakers that could switch between multiple inputs and has an FM tuner. This receiver has 4 inputs in the back plus it can pair with up to 8 Bluetooth devices. I connected a CD player, TV, and Sirius Radio to 3 of the inputs and paired a phone and a tablet to the unit. They all sound great and the FM tuner is crisp and clear. The price was a bargain and I could not be happier with my purchase.

Just needed a new one for my bedroom. Would have gave it more stars but this thing really has no bass to it what so ever. My old Techwood had more (Any one know a trick to get more out of it I'd like to know). But other then that so far it's doing good. The sound is good just needs more bass. Guess we shall see how long it lasts. I just returned a Pioneer I had in the living room cause ALL the Hdmi ports went out on it but 1. The remotes pretty big to. It's like half the width of my Galaxy Book2 Pro 360.

I bought this Yamaha receiver, because I still had some old school speakers, and the receiver has plenty of power, and very easy to go through the menus

Nice, solid basic receiver. Bluetooth works great, connects fast. Plenty of power to drive my Polk speakers. I've always liked Yamaha products. Good value for the money.

Well I have it set up just basically for the stereo and speakers for the TV and I've got great sound and I'm still learning to use it it's been a long time since I've used a basic setup like this but I seem to enjoy it a lot better because I seem to have more control and I look forward to adding to it piece by piece of what I can afford at the time besides yamaha's electronics are of quality anyway

This is a good stereo amplifier from a trusted brand Yamaha and the sound is way better to my 20 plus year Onkyo system. I am able to hook four 6 Ohms speakers. I can play them all together using the A plus B options. The only gripe with the Yamaha amplifier is the lack of a built in loop connection system and I cannot connect my Yamaha stereo Graphic Equalizer. This is the reason for the four star rating.

wanted a permanent radio for my large backyard shed. I added two outdoor speakers and couldn't be happier. I like to listen to local radio stations for news and weather content. and not have to leave my phone near a Bluetooth speaker, that's only going to cut in and out all day long. Now this does have Bluetooth and it does work at least 100ft, so that's a plus for those who want to stream from their phone.

Powers my klipsch r-14m perfectly. While I waited for the speakers to come in I had a extra speaker from a different set laying around and it made it sing. Great receiver. It has this musical tone to it that is just perfectly warm. I can’t recommend this enough. Perfect for a stereo set up or what ever you use it for.
