Bought this unit to replace a 10 year old Sony two channel receiver. I thought the Sony was nice but this Yamaha is amazing! Sounds great, remote is really nice, and bluetooth capability so I can stream from my phone. I just love it and it is hard to believe that this unit was so cheap, Quality compares to a $500 unit easily at one third the cost.

The installation was easy and the sound is good. I had previously purchased a different one that wasn’t working with our TV, but this one was easy.

Nice basic receiver. I am using it to play music on my deck, via bluetooth from my android phone. I am also using the RCA out jacks to connect to a second non bluetooth receiver, so I can double the power available by having 2 amps driving 2 pairs of speakers. (I like it loud!!) Very happy with unit, especially for the price

We have a group of speakers that are driven by this receiver, and it is working well to give music throughout our whole house. The bluetooth capability works well to allow us to get HD2 music sources broadcast

Sometimes you don't need a 5.1, 9.2 etc. AVR. This was a perfect companion to a pair of new ELAC B6.2 bookshelf speakers. The receiver delivers more than enough clean power and the Bluetooth feature works perfectly and expands my access to more listening sources. I have always had awesome experiences with Yamaha from the high end and now down to the low end of their product lines. Great value!

Had to replace my old 2 ch harmon kardon workhorse and the yamaha 2 ch was the best unit available for the money. Only downside is I need a phono pre-amp for my Dual turntable. Oh well, can't have everything. 4 stars.

It has enough power to drive my 1960's era AR2's nicely. The sound is good. So far everything works as advertised, Bluetooth and FM easy to set up and use. One of the stations I listen to is somewhat difficult to receive and I have had trouble with other tuners at my location, but the Yamaha receives it clearly with no noise.

I am using this for my backyard which is about a 1/4 acre of coverage. Connected to this I have a pair 200 watts Definitive Technology AW6500 and a powered 12" BIC PL- 200 II subwoofer. Together it is more than enough to fill the whole place with great clean sound. I listen to all music and it performs good as far as Bluetooth goes too.

Hard to determine the actual sound quality with the speakers I have but for the price you can't go wrong. I have heard Yamaha systems in the past and was impressed. I wanted a receiver for the garage and didn't want to spend almost four times the cost for a Marantz low end receiver. East to set up. And for the price you can't beat it.

Great Receiver, Powerful Sound, Lots of Volume

I bought this Yamaha receiver (model # R-S202BL) based on the reviews of others using Cerwin Vega speakers, since I have CV speakers too. I had originally purchased the Sony 100w/2ch receiver and was disappointed in the lack of power to my Cerwin Vega speakers, so I returned it and bought the Yamaha receiver. This Yamaha receiver is rated the same as the Sony @ 100w per channel, but this Yamaha sounds a lot more powerful and easily drives my speakers, with plenty of powerful sounding volume that can reach beyond 100db. For the price, this Yamaha is a great buy over the Sony I returned (for less) and I am glad I trusted the reviews from other buyers. This receiver can deliver the goods!!!!!

Very nice for the price. Not fancy but gets the job done. I wanted something for my small office at the house. Drives my KEF 150's with no problem. Love having the Bluetooth.

This unit has been an excellent choice. It performs as expected, powers the new speakers and turntable with no flutter or distortion and is easy to set up. The Bluetooth is a breeze to setup and performs well with all my devices. I would recommend this unit for anyone who wants an economical unit with high performance.

Yamaha has down the job for me for over 30 years, from vintage '70's turntables to 80's home theater to 90's 7.1 dolby. Bought this to pair with Yamaha outdoor speakers to replace a Demon receiver and old pair of Polks. Sounds fantastic! Much broader distribution of sound and easier bluetooth connection.

Definitely the best receiver I've bought in a while. Thankfully it doesn't have the "Surround Sound" crap. I just needed a solid receiver to drive my turntable and cd player. This does the trick PLUS it has bluetooth so I can stream to it, too. Really nice, and looks sharp in a minimalistic way.

I love that its bluetooth compatible, adds as another source of connection and makes it easy to move about from one rm to another without having to keep going back and fourth to the receiver.

This is a great little 2.0 channel receiver. We have it set up to stream music to our 2 outdoor speakers. We're impressed by the quality and ease of set-up. The only thing that would have been nice is to have banana plug connectors instead, but the other comparable receivers at this price point don't have them either.

Great basic receiver. Bought this for our neighborhood pool and it's a good receiver to drive a couple of speakers (up to 4), allow folks to connect via Bluetooth, or just listen to the radio. Buttons are labeled well and the interface is easy to use. It sounds great with no issues.
