My 40 year-old Reference 240R by Quadraflex died. Bought it at Shaack Electronics. So I tried to replace it with the Yamaha. I did find that some of my optional gear needed to plug into the receiver -- which is limited. But the CD player did not need to plug into the receiver -- and works just fine.

a trusted brand, best in class sound, love Yamaha, it's all I've ever owned, only a couple of them, and I'm 68 btw!

Bought to power my patio speakers and it just doesn’t have enough power Not nearly loud enough and cuts out if left at high volume too long.

The power seems to be over rated ,, I have to turn it up really high to get the sound to push the speakers ...even though they are properly rated for the ideal load ... 8 ohms

No phono input on a 2 ch analog reciever is ridiculous. You need a separate pre amp. The line out/in does not function as it should (no ability to connect EQ) Every input except Bluetooth produces a weak and underwhelming sound., very little bottom end and muddled highs. 100WPC is a huge overreach it’s only 50-60. Considering a return not pleased.

I bought this to leave running 24 hours a day. Every time I leave for a while and come back, it has turned itself off. I don’t like that feature. Also the Bluetooth feature does not work. Otherwise performs as it should.

Receiver works great, never a disappointment with Yamaha products!

COVID19 has made everyone dependant on on-line purchases. I would be happier, however you need to redesign your website, as it stands it SUCKS. You can find the products easily. Making an order, and getting it either shipped or delivered to the correct store is tedious! How the website interpreted store delivery after I clearly stated my mailing address boggles my mind. I had to several times go back and correct this. Your curbside pick-up once delivered to the store was awesome! Tech support, I gave up on you and had a techie friend come make sure I made the right connection!

Not enough power. Outclassed by a $50 vintage Onkyo power amp, and a class D $100 amp.

Didn't have a jack to connect my turntable so traded it in on a Sony

Thought something was wrong when first hooked up because there was no sound. I had to turn volume up real high before any sound was heard.

Need a new romote please. Having trouble with the one that came with it

Has never ever worked in fact the first time I turned it on it just turned itself back off and that's all it's done I've owned it for a couple years and it has a short I would assume somewhere in it and it's too old to return so junk

For the money, the sound & features are ok. Mine has a touchy power cord that causes the unit to turn off if it is even slightly bumped.

Ok on cd and tuner but volume on tablet and tv was lame during rock videos getting the sony wit 45 watts more pe channell hope that will be better for me

Works good for what we purchased it for. The price was about right.

Display went out after 6 months. Still works but can’t see anything on the front display.

Not good at all . I called to see why I need to turn valume up almost 3/4 to hear sound then unit shuts down . I went in store to find out why both times no answer. It was an open box item and was told sales are final .
