Horrible stereo and customer service
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not good at all . I called to see why I need to turn valume up almost 3/4 to hear sound then unit shuts down . I went in store to find out why both times no answer. It was an open box item and was told sales are final .

Doesn’t work with phono input
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Title says it all: doesn’t work with record players without a built-in preamp. A separate phono stage couldn’t save this receiver, therefore save your money for a receiver that has a dedicated phono input

not that good
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.not very worth this price. If sony or denon's product is available in stock, I might buy those two brand's products.

Bad equipment
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They sent me a bad receiver, the volume has to be turned up to 25 before hearing anything from the speakers. Wish I could exchange it or get a refund. It was delivered 5/1/20. Just tested it June 2, couple days past the date for refunds. SMH!!!

Dissapointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After connecting to my various components and new Polk bookcase speakers I could barely get a whisper of sound via the volume control. When I increased the volume, the receiver shut off. This happened repeatedly. I returned the unit to Best Buy the following day and was reimbursed for the cost. I later saw reviews that described the same problem.

Sound quality not great.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is such a well priced item so it might not be fair to give it two stars. It is well built, looks okay and have okay features. I just didn't like the quality of the sound but you might so give it a listen before you buy

Basic unit for playing music.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple enough for connecting to a CD player. Disappointed in the bass response and the lack of a balance control. Otherwise, it serves it's purpose for playing music.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We set this up and it would constantly kick the speakers off, which I read was a problem in other reviews.

Good sound quality for price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pushes some good volume. Bluetooth is not as seamless as it could be. Also some delays in sound via Bluetooth at times.

Not Yamaha Quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not that great, returned product. May say Yamaha on the outside but that where the quality and feel ends.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a very good receiver the only problem is that it has no sound until you turn it up to 50 decibels

Lack of power when using non Bluetooth mode.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very big difference in sound volume between Bluetooth and any other input ( Line 1, TV, etc). It seems the amplifier gain (dB) is not sufficient on the line input to get anywhere near 100 Watts per channel. Typical DVDs don't put out much signal and there is not enough amplification. Do not recommend unless you only use the Bluetooth mode.

JMS
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just hooked it up to two new Sony speakers I purchased at Best Buy yesterday and I believe the unit is defective or grossly underpowered. It didn’t sufficiently power two small Boston Acoustic bookshelf speakers either. Very disappointing.

nice, but....
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this amplifier as a stand in for my ancient Marantz 2270, used to drive my ancient Ray Cizek speaker in my workshop, whilst the Marantz is out for a refurb. It has nominally adequate power, but the 100 watts/channel claimed don't come anyplace near that of my Marantz 2270, which is nominally 70 watts RMS per channel. The lack of large power supply caps inside is indicative of why it does not compare well to the Marantz? The power supply caps are TINY compared to the Marantz.... no large current reservoir (no large capacitors)? No solid bass. Punkt. Overall I was happy with the box for the ~$150 I paid... except? It forgets what input is selected even while online. I have it connected to my computer via Bluetooth and analog "Line 1" inputs, and after a time with either input selected, it just disconnects. It will ALWAYS be not connected when the power is turned on. Such a discapointment, as Popeye would say.
