Bought this to hook up to my TV in game room and use my Bose speakers to get TV sound and use bluetooth for music. I did not want to spend a ton of money on a receiver for the game room and was able to get this at a good price on sale and open box like new. Liked the fact that it had blue tooth and manual controls on the front of the unit in case the remote was not handy. I did have to buy an adapter for $15 to get my optical TV output to translate into the RCA inputs on the back of the receiver. Overall, I am pleased with this receiver after two weeks of use and have been able to get good quality sound output that meets my needs.

I wanted a receiver to replace my 40 year old Sansui 771 receiver that I had at the office. I have a portable XM Radio that I wanted to hook up and wanted to listen to some talk radio on AM. I was looking for HD radio, but that seemed hard to find in a modestly priced receiver. With some adjustment, I got the AM radio to work pretty well, despite the florescent lighting. The remote control makes it easy to go between AM/FM and my satellite radio. If I am not satisfied with AM reception, the Bluetooth feature is good to connect my smartphone to iHeart Radio or wireless listen to music on my phone.

The receiver allowed me to input sound from my DVD player and TV so that I could use my large speakers to get far better sound output than I could from the speakers built into the TV. Overall we have been quite favorably pleased with this receiver’s combination of price and features. My only complaint is that I am tired of the trend of black equipment cases and fronts on which it is hard to read what each control knob or button regulates because the labeling lacks sufficient contrast and the font used is relatively small. Sometimes it is nice to make an adjustment without using the remote control.

Very nice receiver, with lots of power and Bluetooth connectivity is excellent.
Easy to use with other components line 3 has an output which you could use it as a pre-out to hook up another component or run into an amp. I’ve been up to 80 feet away without losing connection to the Bluetooth even walking outside it goes through walls excellent no interruptions.
The only minor drawback is the small spring clips for speaker connections.

I bought this specifically for the purpose of playing my old Cerwin Vega LS-12 floor speakers from college. I've brought them with me for the last 20+ years and finally I have a room big enough to justify running them.
I'm pleased to report they still get just as loud as I remember, and this receiver is why. It puts out plenty of clean power - they sound great!
The Bluetooth is super-simple so you just control everything on your phone/tablet. I even use one of the inputs with my ipod via a simple RCA 2 into 1 adapter. I can play my entire digital music catalogue simply and easily.
So this receiver was perfect for me and this application. I just needed a simple 2-channel receiver and this fit the bill perfectly.

Provides great sound. I paired this with Yamaha outdoor speakers. Very easy to operate. You don't need the remote to set channels. Totally satisfied. Bluetooth is a great feature. Great price for the sound quality.

The need was for a basic 2 channel stereo amplifier with enough power to drive one set of speakers. Primarily using for playing my vinyl collection, cassette tape collection and the occasional CD. After hooking it all up and firing it up for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised not only with the power but with the fidelity of the sounds coming from that old vinyl.
The only con for this unit is it did not have the pre-amp built in for the turntable. That is a feature that's hard to find on many receivers these days at 3 times the price. A separate pre amp purchase was a simple and economical fix.

I reviewed a number of potential receivers at this price point, and decided to buy the Yamaha 200W to replace a 30 year old AIWA mini component stereo. The form factor just barely fit in the cabinet it needed to go in.
The sound is incredible. I have Klipsch 5 floor standing speakers and at a level of 85, the sound was crystal clear with zero distortion. These speakers are old - had them for 35 years - but they were built tough.
One complaint is that you MUST start with your sound setting at FIFTY to hear anything. I too, thought it was broken at first, but it was just the volume setting. Other than that, simple install and setup. Very happy with it. This will pair with our new TCL 55" TV.

5 stars. Great receiver that has an excellent value for only $150. No fiddling with speaker wire when it doesn't fit correctly. Clear audio and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth introduces 60ms of lag (not a problem if using with just music).

The new Samsung TV did not have the 'old style' audio out jack..and it was time to get a better receiver that could manage the more modern world... all I needed was a good rig..two channel stereo and Bluetooth Enabled compatible for sound from the TV.. works great.
The Yamaha brand looks good and fit well and comfortably with my new 'high end' TV and existing Bose speakers.
Works and sounds great!
I recommend this receiver for friends and customers..

What a great unit! It's well priced and served my needs perfectly. I have it setup in my garage powering 2 bookshelf speakers in the garage and then feeding 2 yamaha outdoor speakers.
The audio is crisp and clear, there aren't any issues with the inputs and bluetooth is solid.
The unit is sleek and there aren't any unnecessary or cluttered buttons. It's straightforward for a multi-channel stereo system and perfect.

Great receiver for the price. Sound is a little different than my old Yamaha receiver but still sounds good and power is about the same as my R7. It has some good features like 5 inputs, Bluetooth and sleep timer.
