This was returned, Would not produce sound. After reading more about it, it maybe a common problem.

I hooked everything up turned on the power and nothing , it was a good deal if it had worked.

This receiver is A+++. The sound on this receiver is excellent. Bass is solid and Treble is crisp. I am driving a pair of JBL 250TI's with this without any signs of distortion. Bluetooth connectivity is excellent. The amp frequency response is 40hz to 20khz. Disregard the specs...Listen to it!

Did not work at all maybe a bad unit most likely but did not want 2 try a exchange

I replaced my old 80s Sansui amp that I was having trouble with last year at my camper. I had already tried a cheaper amp and was disappointed with its poor performance. My speakers are outside and I needed something with the power to crank up the volume. This receiver did not disappoint! The Bluetooth works great and the sound is crisp and clear.

This is a great unit. I use it to run some outdoor Bose speakers and use my phone to Bluetooth to it. I like how it is simplistic to operate. Good power.

Find a different vendor. I have tried two of these both faulty

This receiver was easy to install. Works great, love the sound. Great price, had bought an expensive one before but this Yamaha works better. Have recommended to family and friends.

Old Yamaha receiver broke after 20 years or so. Picked up this one for the bluetooth. It's a game changer. Sound is great of course, it is a Yamaha after all. The bluetooth makes it so much easier as opposed to being corded. I use it to listen to music while working in my home office in between virtual meetings and everything else. Wasn't aware of the feature before buying, but really appreciate the auto shut off when not in use for a long time. Has been real nice when i walk away and come back after a long time and find that it is in fact off. Hooking up bluetooth is super easy. Really happy with the purchase!

Does what it says it does, nothing more. Bluetooth works though connection is not quick. I think others have commented that this sounds much more like a 75 watt receiver than a 200 watt receiver. But sound it crisp. AM-FM reception works well with the simple antennas they provide. Easy setup. Since there is little to compete in the price range you have to admit you get exactly what you pay for. Good for a small room receiver, dorm room receiver, etc. Just don't expect it to drive demanding speakers.

Good bang for the buck! Solid product. Yamaha has the ease of operation that delivers great sound with options to fine tune the highs and lows. Bluetooth compatible and remote control for us lazy people, Won't be disappointed.

Just what I needed. Wife gave me a unexpected turntable for xmas so decided to create an old school 2 channel stereo stack with 4 100w speakers like had back in my room as a kid. This thing does the trick and it has Bluetooth with lets me steam from phone or other devices. On to EQ so I can fine tune the sounds that shape me.

I haven’t been using this stereo receiver very long but I it seems to work for my needs. It allows me to hook up a variety of equipment which includes my computer. I’m not exactly sure what controls sound output but, the volume is not as strong as I would have liked. I have to set the volume setting anywhere from 50 to 70 to get enough volume, and that is not a blasting sound. The max volume setting is 99. I am using 8 ohm speakers as recommended, so I’m not sure why the volume it lacking. The Bluetooth connection is great! I love having that convenience for streaming music. I also like that most of the main controls are on the front, so I don’t need to be dependent on the remote. The item was well packed and survived shipping without any damage; good job Yamaha.

I purchased this about a week ago. It sounds great. I use it for my CD player and the FM radio. I would have given it 5 stars but I have a slight problem with it. I usually listen to FM when falling asleep. However, after 9 hours, the unit powers down. I have no idea why. There's nothing in the manual about it. There is a sleep timer (mine is set to off) that goes as high as 120 minutes.

bad sound very little volume when you turn the volume up did'nt like the the system at all . that's why i returned it

I just bought this unit yesterday. It sounds great, the build quality is nice also. What surprised me, is the Best Buy associates knew very little about this device. I asked whether I could run a subwoofer off of it and I got a lot of detail about why I could not do so. That was all wrong! It runs great, I take it out of channel a to the Bose acoustic mass and then run the satellite units off that subwoofer. It is a passive subwoofer the sound is spectacular. Sure, the satellite speakers are a little bit tiny and lack mid range. However I could also have a run B channel into a powered sub and again there was massive debate with the Best Buy associate who kept saying it would not work. His reasoning was unclear and faulty in my opinion. I have done this with an old receiver also and they work great. I highly recommend this unit.

Love the bluetooth capability. Disappointed equalizer could not be hooked up after seeing other reviews that it can be. Not a bad thing since the unit sounds good through my Polk speakers.

Great little receiver especially for the price. I am an analog stereo two channel music fan and I paired this with a Rega P3 turntable and Polk Audio speakers. I recommend.
