This is a replacement for an onkyo unit great sound

great receiver sounds great blew out my speakers for sure sounds and feels stronger than 200w

We enjoy our stereo outside on our new deck every day.

I bought an open-box unit to replace a defective (I think a storm got it) Insignia receiver we have had in our garage since 2017. It supplies music outside for the wife's pool and inside the garage. Paired with inexpensive outdoor and small bookshelf speakers, it does the job. It will connect to a cell phone via Bluetooth and has a tuner for local radio. We don't use if for much else. It certainly won't huff and puff and blow the house down, but for leisurely music outside it works well.

Great product, easy to use, sounds great, no complaints. Has both inputs and outputs so I can hook up my CD recorder.

Worked out great for the price and what I needed it for.

Using this as my garage stereo, powerful and clear , would like to have a little more control over the sound but it works good, Bluetooth works good.

Under certin currcumstances its a great purchase highly recomended if u like base its also bluetooth from ur fone or tablet.did not get to use but im sure when i do it will b worth the wait had somethin like this product before.but the upgrade to this one im sure will b much better.so if u guys r wondering is it worth buying yes yes yes go buy it as soon as possible for urself or for friends or fam even coworkers

Bought 3 of them for my music classrooms at the Middle School where I teach. Both were easy set up. Good connectivity on Bluetooth and the sound is great.

Easy to use & set up. Hard to find good amp with balance & base/treble controls. Plenty of power!

tons of functions, has more than enough power to drive my vintage klipsch 3.5 speakers.does not color the sound in any pronounced way.

Excellent receiver easy to pair my phone to bluetooth to stram music. It also sounds better with my Bose Accoustimass speakers.

I bought the Yamaha receiver as a replacement for my outdoor speakers that are mounted on the ceiling on my 3 season porch; replacing my older unit. I got this unit as open box return at a very good price. The Bluetooth works great paired with my iPhone now I can independently listen to satellite radio for music sports and what ever I have connected to it. But now no static from over the air antennas. It also has a good amplifier section much better than the other unit clean and powerful. And it’s a Yamaha

perfect power full yamaha reciever powering a pair of polk towers speakers and the bluetooth is cool to.

Before purchasing Amp I knew this wasn't a true 100 Watt per Channel Amp, Yamaha like others in this price range mess with the numbers. Real Power output? Maybe 30-50 Watts per channel and truth be told they're not even real impressive watts. The Sound is lacking/thin. I have a Yamaha R-S700 with a real 100 watts per Channel and it walks all over this little receiver but it also cost me around 4 time more than this. Got this for the Garage, it'll do good out there, paired with 90 db speakers or better it does alright, with my 99 db Klipsch Heresy speakers this amp manages to approach respectable but those speakers can make a 6 watt amp sound like a giant. This amp won't handle running 2 pair A+B of speakers very long it recommends not going lower that 8 ohm speakers, 2 pairs of 8 ohm speakers is a 4 ohm load and driven at loud volumes the amp will not last. This is a sub-entry level 2 channel receiver at a decent price. If you want a real entry level 2 channel Receiver start looking at about the 400 dollar level on up. This is a cheap amp that does play and has Yamaha's Look and Name but falls short on what I would call the classic Yamaha Sound. Places for an amp like this? Garage, Shed, Kids room... you get the idea.
