JUNK
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waste of money. Won’t stay on. Never has. No speakers or other units have been connected, so not an issue there. Tried resetting, didn’t work. Talked with customer support and they don’t know either and suggested that it be returned or repaired. It was a gift so the return date has come and gone. Never buy Yamaha.

Yamaha
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We set this up and it would constantly kick the speakers off, which I read was a problem in other reviews.

Easy Setup and Clean
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.About the on,y drawback is having to crank up the volume to 50 to hear through my bookshelf speakers.

JMS
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just hooked it up to two new Sony speakers I purchased at Best Buy yesterday and I believe the unit is defective or grossly underpowered. It didn’t sufficiently power two small Boston Acoustic bookshelf speakers either. Very disappointing.

Basic unit for playing music.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple enough for connecting to a CD player. Disappointed in the bass response and the lack of a balance control. Otherwise, it serves it's purpose for playing music.

Very disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked fine for two weeks. Went to turn it back on and would not turn on. Unplugged it and plugged it back in then it came back on. After roughly 3 minutes it shut off again by itself. The only way to get it back on is to unplug it then plug it back in and then I get 3 minutes again.

Good sound quality for price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pushes some good volume. Bluetooth is not as seamless as it could be. Also some delays in sound via Bluetooth at times.

Yamaha receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a very good receiver the only problem is that it has no sound until you turn it up to 50 decibels

Lack of power when using non Bluetooth mode.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very big difference in sound volume between Bluetooth and any other input ( Line 1, TV, etc). It seems the amplifier gain (dB) is not sufficient on the line input to get anywhere near 100 Watts per channel. Typical DVDs don't put out much signal and there is not enough amplification. Do not recommend unless you only use the Bluetooth mode.

Don't buy open box anything from Best Buy
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered open box- excellent to save a couple bucks. Huge mistake. First one was loose in the box with no protective packaging, no paperwork and missing a part. Turned out to be defective. Best Buy sent out replacement- also open box- excellent that had the packaging , paperwork and parts. However, it also was defective with the same problem- turns on then turns off loudly right away. tried resetting numerous times. Dealing with customer support was a nightmare and they barely spoke or understood english, They insisted I drive 1.5 hours each way and bring to a store even though they were both shipped to me. Done with Best Buy.

nice, but....
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this amplifier as a stand in for my ancient Marantz 2270, used to drive my ancient Ray Cizek speaker in my workshop, whilst the Marantz is out for a refurb. It has nominally adequate power, but the 100 watts/channel claimed don't come anyplace near that of my Marantz 2270, which is nominally 70 watts RMS per channel. The lack of large power supply caps inside is indicative of why it does not compare well to the Marantz? The power supply caps are TINY compared to the Marantz.... no large current reservoir (no large capacitors)? No solid bass. Punkt. Overall I was happy with the box for the ~$150 I paid... except? It forgets what input is selected even while online. I have it connected to my computer via Bluetooth and analog "Line 1" inputs, and after a time with either input selected, it just disconnects. It will ALWAYS be not connected when the power is turned on. Such a discapointment, as Popeye would say.

Ok for $179
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tuner but one spring clip broke already. Tuner sensitivity is exceptional but sounds a little lean.

Very basic for sound quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality exists only at low volume . 200watt is a huge overstatement ! At 100% volume . Which it will do. Sound quality is poor. Even approaching this. Do not recommend . For premium sound quality you are going to pay much more. I did . I am completely satisfied with it.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this reciever upon while looking for an amp/reciever to use with an amazon echo. The only requirement I had was it had to automatically power when a signal from a source (the echo) was detected. Although this reciever will power off when no signal is detected after a period of time it will not power on when a signal is detected. Returned and hen with a russound amp.

Buy new
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought an opened box Yamaha receiver. Should not have done that. The receiver turns off immediately after turning it on. Now I have to drive to a Best Buy to get it fixed. The amount of money for gas to get there will make up the difference between this one and a new one.

Not For Me returned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this receiver for one reason and it was the Bluetooth connect feature. Read the reviews of how great it was people claiming they could connect to it any where in there house. This was not the case for me only worked if i was in the same room as the receiver. For this reason only i returned it.
