Likely the best (and only) A/V I have owned. The amp gives sound quality to my Klipsch Heresy III speakers that is next to none. Although I do have a glitch that I need to solve. With sophistication sometimes comes complication. This is not a plug and play electronic. When tuned into a channel where voice needs to be the dominating output, I have background music that is dominating as if the voice portion is irrelevant. There is a fix I am sure. I just need to sort through the digital instruction manual which is too large to put into written form. Excellent passthrough. The A/V does not have to be own to watch TV and the passthrough ability gives no deterioration in sound or picture quality.

Bought to replace an older Yamaha system purchaed in 2003. Works great as specified. Setup was very easy. Bluetooth features work great. Sound is awesome.

Bought for the Bluetooth so I could play music on my deck. Paired it with some Polk Atrium 8’s. Absolutely love the whole system. Don’t ever pay more for something that isn’t a Yamaha

Sounds great easy to use landed with my aftermarket remote control just perfectly I would highly recommend this at the price point that it is it’s a great price

Slight upgrade over the last similar model I had. But good changes. Great surround from the TV, radio, Bluetooth. Plenty of power for a medium sized living room.

I recently bought a house and did a wholesale outfitting of everything, that included having separate receivers for upstairs and downstairs. I replaced a Sony receiver that has been a real frustration for me over the years with this one based on a recommendation of the tech guy who installed the rest of the house. I CANNOT believe how good the transition has been. This receiver has one of the simplest setups I've ever seen and it sounds absolutely wonderful now that it's in play. I can't recommend it too highly for its performance, especially at the price. Pretty amazing.

This Yamaha receiver replaced a 20 year old Onkyo receiver. This is not the top of the line by any means, but it works great and has a lot of updated features. Have a turntable and sub woofer hooked up to it and the sound is very good. The radio tuner/antenna are fantastic on this which was a definite plus.

Bought this receiver to replace our outdated home theater receiver. It works well and supports our surround sound system.

The wireless connection is good and easy to sync. It connects to my iPhone and projector and has good features and ample power for my home theater set up. Yamaha is offering a solid product at the right price.

I have had this receiver for two years now. It is paired with two Klipsch reference speakers and it sounds very good. I am using it as a two channel system in a smaller room. I am using all four of the HDMI inputs. I am also using the optical input for broadcast TV sound. Everything works perfectly. I like the layout of the setup menus and the remote control is fine. If your power needs are modest and you care about sound quality then you will like this receiver.

Bought this when we were getting sound setup in the man cave for a new TV. The sound is great and the controls are easy and works great with even some of our older items. Bluetooth is a great addition.

best thing for the beginners who may never go beyond that. the quality and the price is unbeatable. paired with the good speakers (Polk S series and Sony subwoofer) the sound is true 5.1 and you can hear it while watching over the air TV and Netflix movies. I am sure the $1000+ system may sound better, but for the typical large living room setup it is absolutely great.

Great receiver, amazing sound, and many options, make sure to login and activate the ARIC in both the AVR & TV to make it work right.
