Just bought this receiver recently, I was a little intimidated at first but once I opened the box, it was very simple to operate, loved the YOAO , haven’t played around with the Bluetooth yet, gives my legend audio speaker surround sound just enough bump, if I need more bump there is a bass button

Liked the sound, but it did not support my husband’s Cochlear hearing aid. Too bad, as I much prefer Yamaha products.

I was so happy to find one like the one I already had. They helped me by phone yo find the one I needed and I have total tech and they brought the transmitter and installed it.

Excellent sound. Works well with iPad and other Bluetooth devices.

Reasonably priced, solid build quality, and sounds great so far. Plays really nice with an Apple TV 4K and LG UHD TV. I’m just using a 3.0 setup and being able to turn up the center channel for louder voices was what I wanted most. Someday I’ll build a 5.1 system around it.

Very happy with the sound and the many things the receiver can do

This receiver is very simple and sounds great! I just have a couple pieces of equipment plugged in to it (HDMI) and the switching between them is quick. It runs pretty coolly also.

Bought this to replace my old Onkyo and couldn’t be happier! Has great punch for an entry level receiver. Not to flashy but very user friendly buttons. I absolutely love the audio set up mode for speaker set up. Takes the guesswork out.

This is the fourth HT received that I have owned. First was a Sony (analog only, no decoding), second was a Yamaha (no HDMI), next was a Pioneer that just failed after 9 years. This was to replace it. I bought this since my old Yamaha is still working after 17 years. I may have given it 5 stars except for on critical issue. I set it up according to the manual. STB to HDMI-2, BD player to HDMI-1 and UHD TV to HDMI out into the ARC designated HDMI port on the TV. When I turn the TV on using the STB remote, the receiver turns on originally displaying the STB, but then changes to Audio-1. I get no sound until I use the Yamaha remote to change the input to HDMI-2. Since an HT receiver is primarily used to provide the audio for a TV, having to use two different remotes to get started is ridiculous.

My old Yamaha got hit by a lightning strike. This is a very nice upgrade to my last one! Would certainly buy again if needed.

Replaced another Yamaha that went out after 9 years. Needed something that could handle plenty of HDMI hookups but doesn't need to do much more. Only thing that would make it better is if there was a good soundbar I could integrate to get surround sound with receiver capability. I need all my devices to pass through the receiver with my setup which makes a soundbar useless with several inputs needed.

All things considered, I am very pleased with this surround receiver. It does everything I want to do. Digital decoding, fairly good stereo sound and plenty of power. The Bluetooth is nice and it's being used more than I thought it would. Also, the headphone out is superb sound quality. I'm glad I bought it.

I replaced my old receiver which had cost more with this one and I can't believe how much better my sound is. When I went over to a friend's house who had a system which costs doyuble mine, it did not sound as good.

Of all my many receivers, I believe this yamaha receiver is my all time favorite. Powerful, rich sounds YPAO enabled! Love the interaction with my speakers! Very good on the pocket, and as with other Yamaha sound products, it's a good deal and will make you happy you chose it! Make good music-try this unit out for size! it's great!
