Easy to set up. I needed this to act as Advanced HDMI switcher. Worth every penny to hide all the home theater components in our cabinets. Add the Harmony RF remote for closed door control.

Came back to Yamaha after a poor experience with a Sony receiver. This was just like an old pair of shoes. Easy to set up and great sound quality.

Seems to do what it is meant to do. I did connect the digital audio line for the Blu-Ray but not the HDMI and when I go to that input I don't get any sound so it must just be looking for the audio on the HDMI port. Probably just a setting issue that I need to figure out. But because I have a TV audio input I am not concerned about it. The bass seems to fade on late sometimes when powering up after a couple of minutes.

For a basic living room setup where you'll be watching streaming services, UHD Blu Rays, or playing video games this has everything you need. Surprisingly good sound quality too.

I’m happy I purchased this receiver. I hooked this receiver so my key before surround system and it works amazing. The set up was very easy in the manual was online which was different for me but it worked out perfect.

I bought this due to so many good ratings on Best Buy online. I wanted Bluetooth and USB features and was willing to pay more to get them. I am pleased with everything about this receiver, and I am glad that I made this purchase.

I have small 3ohm Samsung speakers previously mounted in our new home the sound is very good from the Yamaha home theatre receiver I’m very pleased.

Its a yamaha and works great. i bought this when i moved my v477 to the back room as its not 4K. This one actually handles the arc and HDMI CEC stuff better than the older model for less money. i have had no issues at all with it.

Good A/V Receiver. This is my third Yamaha Receiver. Yamaha is the best. I am using this with my Bose Audio Accoustmass speakers. This combination is what I call entertainments.

Great product, easy to use and superb sound and video control

I bought this Yamaha receiver (model RX-V385) to replace the same model I previously had which died after 3 years. Despite the untimely demise of that receiver, I was very happy with it, so I decided to buy the same model. Unfortunately, I had a problem with the new receiver randomly powering off on its own. The Geek Squad had done the initial setup for this receiver but the problem began a few days later. I did a little research online and found that many others were experiencing the same issue of the receiver randomly shutting off. Yamaha is aware of the issue which they say may be due to a variety of issues, such as a built-in overheating protection mechanism, faulty power connection, incorrect speaker settings, or Yamaha's Auto Power Standby feature, which when enabled, shuts down the receive at a specified time. I had the Geek Squad follow up to check all these potential problem factors but they found none of these were the cause of the random shut offs. In the end, I returned the Yamaha and bought a Denon receiver, which is working beautifully. Based on my experience, and knowing that other people have experienced the same problem with this model (and other Yamaha model receivers), I can not recommend it.

This reciever turned my pool house in to a rockin pool house. Once I get everything working on Sundays I will be floating in my pool watching my Chiefs kick but.
