This is a very well made entry level receiver.. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but what it does have is great !

I'm giving this item a 3 due to the stress of setting it up. I connected a TV and CD player according to the instructions and the TV volume was very low. When I switched it to radio or CD, it blasted my eardrums. The speaker impedance was correct. I tried the HDMI ARC connection to the TV and then I tried an optical cable. I tried the audio trim to level the input signals and there was some improvement but not enough. I shut off all speakers except FR and FL. The problem persisted, however, over time and across multiple disconnects/connects, it seemed to balance to a bearable difference in levels. If the unit has auto leveling, the manual should say so. Otherwise, I don't know what I did to get it working acceptably. Some background: I'm used to the myriad of plug and play RCA connections on the back of older receivers. I never had this issue before. Other than that, it's a great product.

Many options and easy to setup. Audio settings offer different sounds including 2 and 5 speaker setups. Dialogue can be heard over background noise.

Purchased this open box was in excellent condition. This replaced another more expensive brand that had issues with overheating and not automatically turning off. I have owned Yamaha in the past and now I’ve learned my lesson and sticking with the best.
