Ten minutes out of box I could smell burning and the receiver got hot to the touch. Then the receiver cut itself off. It would not come on again. I return back to the store for a refund.

I will definitely recommend this the others. I works great!

My TV wont connect to the speakers wired to the receiver.

This product was very difficult to set up, lots of problems with understanding the manual provided. Best Buy does not offer support for purchasing products from them unless you are willing to pay them a $200 fee. Yikes.

Transparent instillation. Good product! Second one I’ve bought as this was a new site for surround.

Only worked for 15mos, this was our second one. Now it's in for repair

Had an issue with the receiver not delivering adequate power to the subwoofer so I had to return it. Technical support believe there was an issue with the subwoofer all out.

Any device can have a problem no matter the brand. Important thing is customer service, Yamaha brand is good, customer service is not.

Decided to upgrade my 20+ year audio setup with new equipment, doesn’t sounds any better than what I have now didn’t serve much purpose

Geek Squad to come out to see if it can be adjusted to work correctly. Many channels give only background noise but no commentator talk. I have to use captioning to find out what is said.

It works really good but sometimes the volume on the remote doesn't work all that great

The remote code that turns it on is not the same as the code that turns it off. So you can't use a single remote with your system, you must use their remote and your remote. You can get everything to work with a universal remote except turn it on. I have a 5.1 system with a cable box and SUHD tv. I want to hit the power button and have everything turn on or shut down. I don't want to have to pick up multiple remotes to control each device. I returned this unit and bought an Onkyo. I like it much better.

It does the job but wasn't as good as others I've bought from other brands when looking to do more advanced things. It doesnt do all audio ports out through the HDMI.

I bought this thinking it was 100w per channel. Turns out it is less than that.

The instructions do have it written on the box. You don’t know this information until you open the box.
