This receiver packs a punch -145 watts per channel X 5 = 725 watts. I added a Sony 100 watt powered Subwoofer for a total of 825 watts of power. You hear every note and if you crank up the sound, your walls will vibrate. It has built in Bluetooth Technology for streaming music to and from the receiver. The different sound modes add to your movie sound experience! The price is excellent at $279.99 . This receiver will perform as good as the higher priced receivers. Yamaha receivers will last you for many years!

Replaced earlier version about 8 years old. Loved the microphone speaker set up. Has Bluetooth when you want to listen without waking anyone else up. Using optical input from TV.

I like it so far! Set up was straight forward and it has nice features. I use it in a bed room with bookshelf speakers and a subwoofer. Great purchase!

In over a year I have had no issues for this product. It works very well for my 5.1 system. The quality is great to me and my wife, but we aren't geeks about this. I would recommend this receiver because it is a great value.

I bought this to replace an old Denton that stopped working. I use it for karaoke, and this Yamaha sounds so much better. Beautiful sound that is clear in every range. Rich, fill bass, tight middle, and crisp clean highs. I love it.

Fantastic sound for whatever I am listening to. Had a sound bar before but with this array of speakers there is so much more depth to the audio. There are times I forget I am watching TV and I think there is something going on out front or next door. Great experience. It's just a bit difficult to connect speaker wires - would be a breeze with banana plugs.

Can turn on using bluethoth on your phone. Great sound with Sonance speakers.

Bought for the Bluetooth so I could play music on my deck. Paired it with some Polk Atrium 8’s. Absolutely love the whole system. Don’t ever pay more for something that isn’t a Yamaha

Excellent receiver, sounds amazing, product is easy

Likely the best (and only) A/V I have owned. The amp gives sound quality to my Klipsch Heresy III speakers that is next to none. Although I do have a glitch that I need to solve. With sophistication sometimes comes complication. This is not a plug and play electronic. When tuned into a channel where voice needs to be the dominating output, I have background music that is dominating as if the voice portion is irrelevant. There is a fix I am sure. I just need to sort through the digital instruction manual which is too large to put into written form. Excellent passthrough. The A/V does not have to be own to watch TV and the passthrough ability gives no deterioration in sound or picture quality.

Good receiver and easy to set up. Works as expected and reasonably priced. I wish it had been 7 channel but that's a big jump in price.

Bought to replace an older Yamaha system purchaed in 2003. Works great as specified. Setup was very easy. Bluetooth features work great. Sound is awesome.
