Replacement for my Onkyo that died after around 8 years. Similar in quality (and price) with a less complicated remote control. If it outlives my last receiver, then I'm completely sold on Yamaha!

Great receiver. It was very easy to connect to the TV and speakers. one HDMI cable goes from the amp to the TV and an optical cable from the TV back to the amp. The HDMI cable from the CD player plugs into the receiver and that passes through to the TV.

Our old receiver konked out and we had to find a replacement. My husband went to Best Buy and they recommended this Yamaha receiver. The hook ups in the back were not difficult to match from the old receiver. And this receiver works even better than our Harmon Karden did!

I upgraded to this from an older Yamaha surround sound receiver which didn't support 4K. This upgrade gave me the 4K I wanted, and also offers quite a few other new features. In particular, the Bluetooth audio feature is very useful. I can stream audio to the surround sound system from my phone.

I have had my receiver for about a month now. It was used to build out a 5.1 surround sound system for my theater room. Sound quality is great. As long as you only need a 5.1 setup I highly recommend this item for the price point.

My last receiver was 10 years old before lightening took it out. This Yamaha is awesome. Super easy to use. On screen indicators are very nice. You can label the onscreen inputs, so that is cool as well. Biggest issue I have, which I believe is Spectrum's problem is using Spectrum's remote to control the Yamaha.

If you are looking for an affordable AV system that wont let you down, look for further, this is it. The only thing it's lacking is Atmos, but I wont be adding overhead speakers to my home for a while and am not dissapointed, in fact, I'm thrilled with this system.

It has everything I was looking for and then some. Plus plenty of power.

Very nice receiver with loads of presets for different styles of music and great theater sound for those favorite movies and shows. I'm impressed by the features packed into this and pairs great with my Klipsch reference Theater Pack.

This is a nice one excellent for movie watching. It was easy to hook up as I was replacing another receiver with a similar hookup

I like this receiver so much I own two of them. It has full 4K HDMI, Bluetooth connectivity, and it even self-calibrates with the included microphone. It’s pretty full-featured, and considering it’s under $300, I’d say it’s a steal!

I have been very pleased with this unit. It is easy to use and produces great surround sound. The price was exceptional too. I am very happy with my purchase.

Fairly easy to use item. Has adjustable controls for everything needed to be done and is compatible with my logitech universal controller

Good sound and almost easy setup. The only downside is interface with other universal remotes. You cannot set up other remotes to turn the receiver off! I have Spectrum cable and can turn the receiver on, mute and control volume but there is no way to set up the device for off.

This is an excellent receiver. We have it connected to our Samsung tv and klipsch surround sound system.i would recommend this item. you can't go wrong with Yamaha.

It has room for all my components and the sound is amazing

Great receiver with quality audio. 4K picture quality is great and there is no lag in audio and picture. Identifies most HDMI attached devices and displays on front (PS4, Blu-Ray, etc...). Bluetooth pairing is super easy.

Exactly what I needed and works great, east to set up

Wonderful A/V unit that I am really enjoying. It plus 2 HDMI cables replaced a rats nest of cables and old equipment. Works great.
