Replaced a previous Yamaha receiver fried by a lightning strike. No complaints, Does what I expected it to do for the price point.

So far very pleased with my purchase, old Yamaha receiver went out and this new one was very easy to hook up to my existing speakers.

Awesome stereo. Has multiple HDMI slots, Bluetooth capability, great sound quality, and sets up your speakers for surround sound. Highly recommend.

The system i purchased is great after the installation and the install finish the sound was perfect speakers looks great along with the subwoofer.

So many options. Pretty easy to set up. Love that all my devices can hook up to it and just use the HDMI ARC to the tv.

Solves my need of a receiver to take cable and play it in surround sound. There has been some intermittent signal disruption on the HDMI inputs

I bought this Yamaha receiver (model RX-V385) to replace the same model I previously had which died after 3 years. Despite the untimely demise of that receiver, I was very happy with it, so I decided to buy the same model. Unfortunately, I had a problem with the new receiver randomly powering off on its own. The Geek Squad had done the initial setup for this receiver but the problem began a few days later. I did a little research online and found that many others were experiencing the same issue of the receiver randomly shutting off. Yamaha is aware of the issue which they say may be due to a variety of issues, such as a built-in overheating protection mechanism, faulty power connection, incorrect speaker settings, or Yamaha's Auto Power Standby feature, which when enabled, shuts down the receive at a specified time. I had the Geek Squad follow up to check all these potential problem factors but they found none of these were the cause of the random shut offs. In the end, I returned the Yamaha and bought a Denon receiver, which is working beautifully. Based on my experience, and knowing that other people have experienced the same problem with this model (and other Yamaha model receivers), I can not recommend it.

I've had same Yamaha receiver that wasn't 4k for years. When I purchased the Samsung NU6900 4k TV, I went with the same receiver in 4k. What a combination, I love it.

I update from my similar old broken model to this new one with bluetooth and USB support. I like it and enjoy the additional function very much.

Great receiver. I love Yamaha and that is the only head end I have purchased in the past 20 years. Yamaha makes a great head end.
