Great receiver for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reall loud, clear sound, 4k, and has bluetooth. This is a great receiver only thing i would fix would be the control setup. Really big control and have to go through all the inputs until you find the one you need.

Yamaha Receiver
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great receiver/amp for the price. It replaced a 15 year old Sherwood amp and works well with my Dish receiver, Bose 5.1 speaker system and Samsung 55" TV if you don't mind using 3 remotes to watch TV.

Takes Two To Tango
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought one of these for the living room as a replacement for a SONY (which was damaged after a lightning episode). The setup wasn't "a walk in the park" so we called Geek Squad for a proper installation. Wow. The integrated video from our 4KUHD TV (which was previously purchased from Best Buy) and the sound from this Yamaha is fantastic. The fait d'complait' (sorry about the French meaning "final move") for the home made us happy when this item completed the Master Bedroom setup with our LG 3D TV. Who cares about the pandemic closing the local movie theaters when you can be happy with these home setups?

Great Receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has everything we needed for a nice 5.1 setup. We didn't need to worry about passing through or upscaling to 4k, etc.. this does the job for the right price

Good replacement for old stereo
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not using this as an AV receiver. This was purchased to replace an old stereo that I use on a daily basis. I had to pick an AV receiver in order to get the correct outputs and inputs for sub woofers and other equipment attached. After a short amount of time going through the manual I was able to assign the names of the inputs to make this easier to use. I was able to find a good alternative to the old Loudness function that seems to no longer exist. I am currently using it as just a stereo. I will be moving it to our 2nd living room once I have had time to rebuild my old "1977" stereo receiver. I picked the Yamaha Natural sound AV receiver because I wanted to match it with an old Yamaha Natural sound amp. I feel it will be used for years to come.

purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just an upgrade of the one I bought 20 years ago from you; really the same connections except for HMDI and 4k, but good price and good receiver; having some problems with the HMDI connections but I'll figure it out. Haven't go the DVD online yet.

Reliable and more than adequate
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a solid choice for a standard home theater installation (i.e., your living room). Improved over earlier version with standard 4K and a nice assortment of sound options. I find that this power output is MORE than sufficient for standard listening as well as the "ramp it up" movie / concert events. Reasonably priced and our prior one lasted >10 years before a power surge took it out.

Superb value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is hard to imagine a greater value/dollar than this outstanding Yamaha receiver. I have been partial to Yamaha receivers for some years and presently have three Yamahas and one Onkyo in use (yes, I am an audio freak but also a lifelong professional musician and a very critical listener). This receiver was an inexpensive way to update my A/V system without buying more than necessary for the installation. The sound is superb and the output is altogether adequate for a relatively large room. Were I buying a receiver again today, I definitely would buy the same one.

Yamaha Basic 5 channel receiver
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good receiver and easy to set up. Works as expected and reasonably priced. I wish it had been 7 channel but that's a big jump in price.

Great value unit
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In over a year I have had no issues for this product. It works very well for my 5.1 system. The quality is great to me and my wife, but we aren't geeks about this. I would recommend this receiver because it is a great value.

This Yamaha is great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace an old Denton that stopped working. I use it for karaoke, and this Yamaha sounds so much better. Beautiful sound that is clear in every range. Rich, fill bass, tight middle, and crisp clean highs. I love it.
