I have had this receiver for two years now. It is paired with two Klipsch reference speakers and it sounds very good. I am using it as a two channel system in a smaller room. I am using all four of the HDMI inputs. I am also using the optical input for broadcast TV sound. Everything works perfectly. I like the layout of the setup menus and the remote control is fine. If your power needs are modest and you care about sound quality then you will like this receiver.

Excellent quality for a great price! My home theater is Awesome! I am able to Bluetooth from my phone to this device! Great purchase!

I recently bought a house and did a wholesale outfitting of everything, that included having separate receivers for upstairs and downstairs. I replaced a Sony receiver that has been a real frustration for me over the years with this one based on a recommendation of the tech guy who installed the rest of the house. I CANNOT believe how good the transition has been. This receiver has one of the simplest setups I've ever seen and it sounds absolutely wonderful now that it's in play. I can't recommend it too highly for its performance, especially at the price. Pretty amazing.

Not a bad sounding unit. Setup and programming is decent. Speaker config is easy. Just plug in mic and run program and it does the rest. Must have decent to high quality speakers.

This is a good solid product from a trusted manufacturer. The price also lives up to expectations.

Set up mic did a decent job. Needs minor tweaking after. Love that it has Bluetooth built in and a simple remote set up.

I love the final result after I finally got this receiver hooked up. It works great. The only issue I have is the instructions were confusing and were not user friendly. Maybe every other person hooking up a receiver have prior experience, but I have none. Me getting the receiver hooked up to my TV and in-wall speakers took way longer than it should have due to trial and error efforts that were substitution for more concise instructions.

Great receiver, amazing sound, and many options, make sure to login and activate the ARIC in both the AVR & TV to make it work right.

best thing for the beginners who may never go beyond that. the quality and the price is unbeatable. paired with the good speakers (Polk S series and Sony subwoofer) the sound is true 5.1 and you can hear it while watching over the air TV and Netflix movies. I am sure the $1000+ system may sound better, but for the typical large living room setup it is absolutely great.

Bought this when we were getting sound setup in the man cave for a new TV. The sound is great and the controls are easy and works great with even some of our older items. Bluetooth is a great addition.

i have always liked yamaha products/ this one is no different, living in a smaller place than i have in the past, this unit works well for my needs. is it perfect? close, i wish it had duel zones si i could run another set of speakers in another room, but at this price point i cant complain.

For the price, this stereo works pretty well! The unit doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, but it does sound great. I have Polk, and Klipsch speakers, and we all enjoy the movies with the surround sound. Music also sounds great from streaming, CD’s, and my record player. Gaming is pretty good, but I prefer it for music, and movies, and TV shows.

This Yamaha receiver is quite a find. Sound is crisp and noise free. So many options to adjust the sound & configuration. Remote is user friendly & intuitive. So thrilled to have such a high quality receiver at such a decent price. It really feels like a steal. Thank you Best Buy.

If youre looking for a simple 5.1 surround sound setup look no further. I love this receiver, it's a budget model with no wi fi or atmos but it has every other feature you could think of. I paired with the Klipsch 5.1 Reference Theater Pack (google it, it's great) and its a match made in heaven.

This receiver is easy to hook up and I have a lot to hook up. The sound is amazing and using it with the TV , Satellite and TV work very well. I would highly recommend it.

Sounds great plus the blue tooth makes it easy to play music from my iPhone
