This is not a fancy receiver by any stretch but I simply needed to replace a 17 year old Yamaha receiver. I did not need too much as far as features so this was a good fit. I have a custom programmed remote that works with this receiver for volume and power functions. I have worked with the Yamaha product for over 20 years in the A/V install business and their receivers are my favorites.

Has full connectivity with helpful display. Medium power amp sufficient to fill our medium sized fam room with loud sound. We have no regrets.

Sounds great. Lots of functionality. The arc feature with Samsung does not turn off the tv. Do your homework before you buy. this one does not have a/b channels ‘for speakers. I need for outdoor speakers. No separate channel for 2 speakers. outdoors. My older one had this. Also it has no phono capability (preamp)

Upgraded from my old Yamaha. This one is a bit simpler to set up, and I like the Bluetooth and 4K. Good value receiver.

I am really happy with this 5.1 receiver. It is replacing an older model 5.1 receiver. We have it set up in our basement movie room and it sounds amazing comparepared to tv speakers. I think it even sounds better than the sound bar we previously used. I am really happy with this receiver and the ser crew was amazing. I would never try to set this up on my own, but that why I have Geek Squad for.

i have always liked yamaha products/ this one is no different, living in a smaller place than i have in the past, this unit works well for my needs. is it perfect? close, i wish it had duel zones si i could run another set of speakers in another room, but at this price point i cant complain.

good product. provides good sounds for my surround sound system. easy to use and install.

Great product filled my needs. Plenty of power and sound quality has been terrific better than my old pioneer.

Needed a 4K Ultra capable sound system to use with my 1990's 5.1 speakers. This is it! Excellent sound reproduction with no distortion at high volume and whispers with clarity at low volume. Also has just the right number of inputs for my equipment. I am very pleased.
