Right up front I no longer have this Receiver. I was very happy with it and the sound quality was fantastic if not for the following issue I would rate it 5 stars. I am not an audiophile by any means but do know great sound when I hear it. The set up was easy and everything from on screen menu to the ease of use of the remote were great. Once set up and ready to roll is where things started to fall apart for me. First Apple TV would not play. I did everything short of a hard reboot. Of course one thing Twas o make sure I did not have a dead HDMI port I switched in the Fire stick which was fine. So my conclusion was Yamaha dose not like Apple TV streaming. Next Issue. I use DirecTv and could not pair my remote. Not a deal breaker by any means. The real issue was even w/o the DirecTv remote paired as I would use the remote it would constantly change the Audio output to another source,HUGE Problem. At that point I could not switch it back to hear audio. I would either have to Change the Channel turn off the DirecTv Receiver or the Yamaha. No changes of settings I did would stop it from happening. NOTHING> The 2 systems had a cross frequency issue and it could not be eliminated. I fought with it for almost a month and The only option I had was to return the Receiver. So that's where it stands for me. I loved it but yet hated it and I am still w/o a receiver at this point.

Also has FM that receives clear channels!! Great sound, especially when I can choose different modes of sound, movie, tv or radio modes make the sound clear and surround clear also

Works perfectly. Great sound! I replaced a 15 year old Yamaha receiver (which was struck by lightening) with this one. I am well pleased.

Highly recommended. Very high quality for entry level AVR. Pretty loud for my 1000 sq ft family room.

This is the best receiver for hdmi connections! It switches automatically for the component you turn on, very handy and intuitive!

Very good sounding receiver for the price. It was very easy to install/setup and came with a tool to automatically adjust speaker levels.

I love the product. Quality sound. Extra bonus you have 3 hdmi ports that can be used by game systems rather fight with not having enough ports on tv.

Great upgrade from what we had. Does the job! The Best Buy Employee let us open the box to ensure that we were buying a receiver that would work with the same connections as our old setup.

So far have been happy with the performance BUT do feel that the connections on the back of the unit are misleading. When searching for a receiver I wanted one that accepted regular RCA inputs in addition to HDMI inputs. When I saw that this receiver had two (2) sets of RCA inputs I was thrilled. I did not, however, read the fine print that if you want the video from those RCA inputs to show up your tv/projector, you would have to run a separate video RCA cable from the back of the receiver to the tv/projector. Was very disappointed that the necessary hardware wasn't already included in the receiver to upscale the video, definitely would have affected my purchase.
