Overall happy with this purchase

It doesn’t go into a standby mode and manually turning technology off and on in 2021 is a bit ridiculous. My $50 Bluetooth speaker shuts itself off so why doesn’t a $300 receiver?

Yamaha rx-v385 receiver

Replying a high end older Denon avr-3806 receiver. This modelbis extremely usercfriendly and setup was smooth. Using FM stations is a breeze!! Sound quality is perfect and stereo seperation is theater sounding quality. Was only allowed to select 2 stars but would give receiver a 5!!

This means in order to use all functions on all of your units you need multiple remote controls at your fingertips. Otherwise it is a good receiver.

I have several Yamaha in house already.. this product does a great job.. takes some getting to know the Yamaha setups, but much better than some others

I actually ended up returning this unit because after sitting with it the sounds just sounded really flat. regardless of what changes i made or what built in wizard i ran.

Made appt on unuser friendly website with Geek squad, he wouldn’t help me. He didn’t know or was willing to respond to simple questions. Went back to sales desk and finally got some help.
