Best entry receiver
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this receiver to drive 5 speakers and a sub. Does great for my needs. I am using Micca speakers and a Dayton Audio subwoofer. Really gives the movie theater experience for me.

Good Receiver for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a 2 channel receiver that lasted about 60 days with this one pushing B&W bookshelf speakers along with a center channel speaker in my woodshop. So far so good!

works ok, if it would just stay on the last settin
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It doesn't seem this unit is able to just stay on the last settings used. I'm not sure what it's doing but every time I turn it on I have to change it to get both picture an audio. I can get sound with an HDMI but then also connected the fiber optic audio out from my TV as well and I still always have to change settings to get it working each time I turn it on.

I miss you RX-V473
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit to replace my trusted RX-V473. It served my well for many years. I've had this one a few weeks now and it just seem a little buggy. An example: just on HDMI is going into this unit from my TV, on my TV is a Fire Stick, I'll be on the Youtube app and all seems to be playing fine, then I use the Fire Stick remote to do a voice search, audio will annouce, "Getting that from Youtube" then when the video plays no sound. I have to power of the Yamaha and play sound through TV only. Ugh! I miss you RX-V473.

YAMAHA 5.1 4K RECEIVER
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.won't play both sub's at same time without unplugging optical cable for sound bar/sub from tv & plugging into dvd player.wasn't an issue with old setup.plus have to buy a Y splitter cable to plug powered sub into Yamaha & cuts its power in half.not cool,i like to ROCK !!

He took the time to explain how to use my system... everything seems to be working well... here assured me that I could contact him if I had any issues, but I’m happy for now... thank you!

Quality entry level receiver
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Consistent quality with 2 Yamaha predecessors I owned. Only needed this upgrade for ARC capabilities to drive my surround setup. Working as expected. The automated speaker optimizer(YPAO) was a nice touch.

OK but not what I thought
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was told this had A and B speakers when I bought it but it doesn't. The Bluetooth doesn't work really great either. It sounds pretty good when it works.

Good 5.1 system
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good and basic 5.1 receiver. While it has a USB port on the front, it doesn't work for a hard disk. It can be used to power a chrome cast which is plugged in the back side, so it be good if the USB port is in the back. The remote buttons are little confusing and needs reorganization.
