Great reciever amazing picture through hdmi great sound

With HDMI Control set to "ON", there is no option to choose HDMI as the TV Audio Input. When I turn my components on, It automatically switches it to AUDIO1, AUDIO2, AV1, etc...therefore having to switch it back to HDMI manually as the source input from the Yamaha remote (I use my Xfinity remote to turn on the entire system and control the STB). Inherent flaw in the ARC system and much discussed in online forums with no resolution that I could find. My workaround is that I disable CEC on my VIZIO TV but that results in the audio signal not going thru the AVR and I have to use the TV volume whenever I watch the smartapps. Inexpensive AVR and does the job but not impressed.

I am very pleased with the cost and the sound quality that this receiver offers. It pushed my 5 channel surround sound with very good clarity.

Bought this product last 3 years back, till now i haven't received any small issue and i highly recommend this Item if you want for home setup to backyard music.

Delivered on my door step unwrapped. It could only be worse if a "free new receiver" sign was hung up. FM antenna was damaged in box. Had to buy one. Not very powerful but adequate for the money. Bluetooth input is novel capability.

Searched so long for a reasonably priced 5+ channel receiver. After a month of searching, I saw an offer for an open box version. So it did NOT come with its remote (in fact it came with a random Roku remote???) which is an inconvenience for sure but it works perfectly and i found a replacement remote on Amazon.

Looks good. As far as I know, it works perfect. The audio is very clean. I still find it very complicated to use. But it's my first AVR. And I'm old.

although a good receiver, it didn't meet my needs. When i connected it tomy system, i found i needed new speakers.

Great for standard home audio and movies but not so much for the series x

The directions are no help in saying which app to use? There are dozens of Yamaha apps, couldn’t get any of them to work. Holding the memory button down for any number of seconds does nothing to connect it to anything. What’s worse, the remote doesn’t work. There’s no help in the instructions or online that I can see that help me sync the remote. It’s all directing me to the PDF of the useless instructions I already have, or it’s help getting old remotes to work by way of taking it apart and cleaning it.

I like this product. The price was reasonable and works great

its a little complicated on how to hook up the turntable. It should not be that complicated, and i went on line and found out that they have a higher amp per channel amp. what it is, is what it is.

IT'S THE BEST ONE FOR MY KARAOKE MACHINE. iT MAKES ME SING MORE. THE SOUNDS AND THE BASS., COMBINE WITH A GREAT SPEAKER IT SOUNDS LIKE A MOVIE THEATHER WHEN WE WATCH MOVIES. JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT.

Nice tuner and speakers are great! The tuner just failed and the video out is DEAD!!! Look like I have to wait for the 2.1 HDMI to be released!! If you can get it cheap roll the dice other wise pass.
