Easy set up, walks you through step by step. Also plenty of options to play around with. Super User friendly. Make sure you have a base speaker to get the full power and effect of this receiver. Picture quality looks great on 4K tv, just ensure you buy the 4K hdmi cables(from Amazon..and not BB..you know why..*coughs over priced*. Also upstreams @ 4K. Obviously must have 4K tv for 4K content. =)

I found this receiver to be well worth the price and it was easy to set it up and the quality was outstanding. Helpful tip, If connecting to a 4K Television. Make sure you cables are 2.2 High Grade to get your true 4K resolution if you are running it through the Ark connection. I am super happy with this purchase

This is a great mid-range unit with awesome capabilities for sound. It supports all modern features up to a 5.1 surround sound setup and is fairly easy to use. I would recommend this product to others based on its reliability and price.

This replaced a Yamaha RX-V481 that got fried in a lightning strike. Not super fancy, but does everything I need it to do and at the right price. Very satisfied with it.

I bought this receiver for my LG C9 OLED TV and it works well with Dolby Vision and HDR10 movies. I like that you can set up external speakers without a subwoofer and configure 5 speakers with virtual surround sound. I also like that the sound through connected headphones is amazing. The price of this receiver was perfect and the quality is amazing.

I bought this receiver to replace my old one which was just an 5.1 audio receiver. This receiver is an a/v receiver and I am amazed at the difference in the sound as well as the picture. The set up was easy with the microphone that came with the receiver. I am looking forward to enjoying this for years to come.

This is my second Yamaha receiver and I highly recommend them. Easy to connect and easy to set-up; the sound quality is great, even at high volumes. Setting up a Bluetooth device to play music through the system worked flawlessly. You could probably pay more for a receiver, but in my opinion, that would likely be unnecessary.

For those of you old enough to remember, my first receiver was a 4-Channel Pioneer. I have had Kenwood, Technics and Yamaha. I was replacing an old Kenwood so after doing some research I landed upon this one after considering one Atmos capable. Very Happy with it. Easy setup and sound great! Would recommend!

Nice menus & easy setup. Color looks great to the monitor (TV) on all my devices. Roku. Blu-ray player. Game console. Computer. (Yes. I run my PC on my big screen Panasonic plasma TV.) Surround sounded really good. However, music playback was terrible. I'm something of an audiophile with 831 albums on my computer stored in WAV file format (the BEST), & this unit was way too HOT sounding for my tastes. WAY TOO MUCH TREBLE! Like nails on a chalkboard at high volumes. This Yamaha lacks the warmth of my old Onkyo or my new Denon. One nice feature is having an EQ for the speakers to dial in the sound. But, they all need to be EQ'd individually. Needs a feature to set the same frequencies to all the speakers at the same time. I spent 3 days trying to EQ the sound for this receiver for music playback & it finally started sounding decent. (Which you shouldn't have to do. A good receiver will sound good right out of the box without any effects or adjustments.) Then it started shutting down. To be fair, I was pushing it hard for 12 hours straight. I thought it was going into protection mode because it was overheating. But, the next morning after cool down, it started shutting down again after a few minutes of playback. Maybe I burned it up by pushing it too hard at high volumes for too long. Maybe I got a bad unit. I have a friend with a similar unit & his has been going strong for 7 years. Recently my mother had a similar issue with her Yamaha shutting down constantly so I think it's inherent in the brand. And, I didn't like the sound AT ALL for music playback, so I returned it & bought a Denon instead.

Was torn between a home theater or a sound bar. So happy I chose a home theater. I read a lot of reviews and Yamaha had the best reviews. This receiver quality is amazing and Bluetooth was easy to set up. I purchased good quality speakers which really compliment this receiver. Happy with my purchase.

This is a great receiver! I had it plugged in and setup in full 4K HDR with my XBOX One X and Sony TV in minutes. The Yamaha YPAO auto setup is easy to use and made my A/V setup sound amazing! No further adjustments are necessary except for cranking the volume and enjoying your games and movies!
