I enjoyed this fun movie that's based on the idea that suddenly everyone in the world did not ever know the Beatles. Ultimately its a cute love story with fun characters that I could relate to. My wife needed to have the subtitles on sometimes because she could not understand the English accents at some points. The songs are very well performed and are nicely woven into the story line. The inclusion of Ed Sheeran (Shape Of You and others) and Kate McKinnon (from SNL) make for a fun cast.

With no explanations of why, the world has suddenly lost any memory of the Beatles except our protagonist. As he plays, the world discovers it for the first time. There are pitfalls along the way, as he has troubles with love, his exploding musical career, and the guilt over not actually writing any of it himself weighing on his mind. The movie is a delight, thoroughly entertaining, and features the some of the greatest songs of the 20th century.

A young, down on his luck musician wakes up to find out that nobody has ever heard of the Beatles, but he knows how to play most of their library. Throw logic out and simply enjoy the fun the main character has attempting to learn the rest of the Beatles catalog, eventually becoming famous, trying to get the girl, learning more about his relationship with his parents and eventually coming to terms with the fact he's an impostor. The main character is sympathetic and a fantastic singer, as he covers many of the Beatles best songs. A must watch for Beatles fans and movie fans that love an underdog story.

I missed this film when it was in theatres and was anxious to see it. I'm a huge Beatles fan and thought the premise was cute. I watched it on a premium channel and, even with it's flaws, could not get enough of the quirky, sweet story. There is alot that doesn't make sense about the screen play but the absolute "feel good" feeling plus endearing performances by the leads made me want to own this film. The added pleasure is that it comes with a digital download AND dvd version as well as the blu ray. The price was right too.

We love this surreal vision of a future without the Beatles where one guy remembers how to play and sing all their songs. It is a beautiful love story and we found ourselves singing the songs from the move days after. Himesh Pattel and Lilly James are well suited for the roles along with their co-stars. It was a total feel good movie and we have watched it three times since we brought it home. :)

I love this movie, a unique approach to give the Beatles music a new avenue. The music was great, Himesh Patel did a great job performing the songs and it was funny, entertaining and emotional. The way they brought John Lennon into the movies was just amazing, very unexpected, and I loved the role Ed Sheeran played. One I can watch again and again.

The movie is an interesting funny take on what would happen in the world were some of the greatest musicians never existed. Although I think the premise because mostly unexplored. The movie definitely has redeeming qualities, and is worth the watch. However it does drop the ball in my opinion with respect to how much more could’ve been done. But don’t let that dissuade you from watching, you’ll enjoy it.

Probably requires at least a working knowledge of the Beatles, their songs and their history; sweet love story with very good chemistry between Patel and James with enough twists and turns to keep it interesting along the ride; Kate McKinnon chews scenery with gusto; Sheeran is perhaps a bit too natural but gives legitimacy to plot; EXCELLENT extras of deleted scenses and music videos

This is a simple premise, and it works. Sure, the main drive underneath is a guy struggling with his morals and the ethics of this. However, he really tries to stick to doing the right thing and does. The situations that develop through this are good, and the characters and relationships work, and it is funny. I have actually watched it a few times. Definitely happy with my purchase.

I've been a Beatles fan for many, many years now. At first, I wasn't sure if I would like this movie; I decided to give it a try, though. It's so awesome and really enjoyable to watch! I love the story and of course, the Beatles' songs they chose to do. I would recommend it to any other Beatles fans out there, and even others who enjoy great music :)
