So I've had this movie before, and I love it and with that being said I saw they had a Best Buy exclusive steel book edition. Traditionally, when a black and white movie is being advertised the box cover is colored but the clips on the back show you that the movie is clearly black and white. This one showed that it was colored, and me and my brother were having a discussion on if the movie possibly had a Color Remastered Edition or if it's still black and white. We asked an employee if he would know, and he said it's possible because that's what it looks like. I don't mind that it's still black and white, but I most certainly dislike that Best Buy went to the trouble of coloring the clips on the back of the box to make it look like it's a colored movie when it's not. So if you are ever shopping at a Best Buy and come across this movie, if you already don't have it then I would get it. If you have it on Blu Ray, I wouldn't be fooled into buying this, because it's exactly the same.

Mel Brooks' comedy with a classic horror twist. The words "walk this way" take on all new meaning.

This isn't a bad movie. I just purchased it recently because of the great price and nostalgia but I was disappointed. I've seen it before, probably on TV as a kid. It has phenomenal reviews and is considered a classic. I maybe chuckled slightly a couple times. The jokes and humor just didn't work for me, overall. Again, it wasn't bad, but it's no Spaceballs!

I believe the original Frankenstein was a better movie. More drama and less silliness.

Really cool front cover but the rest is very generic.

I bought this because this is one of my favorite movies. It had a disc error and would not play. I returned to the store and was told there are no refunds, but could get an exchange, so I exchanged it for a new one. The second one had a disc error and would not play either. Very disappointed.

But I can't stand him, and the humor in this movie demonstrates why. It's basically a 2 hour knock-knock joke.

The movie looks great and sounds good as well. The only fault i can see with this is the movie itself. Nothing here is bad and the features are admirable.

The movie is excellent but I'm reviewing my purchase at Best Buy. I wouldn't recommend buying this one at Best Buy because it advertises as the 40th Anniversary edition and it ISN'T! The Anniversary edition should have a slip cover with still scenes from the movie on it. This one does not. I tried to take it back to the store unopened and explain this to them but they opened mine pulled a card from the front and said yes it is the anniversary edition, see the pictures match. I said but it doesn't say 40th anniversary edition like it should and doesn't have the slip cover. But since Ian (the store associate) opened mine to prove to me he was right..even though he was wrong, wouldn't let me return it because it was opened. .. and he messed up the front cover doing it.

This is Mel Brooks at his equal best with Blazing Saddles and proves his reputation as one of the all-time great comedy writers/directors/producers. Gene Wilder is perfect as the young Frankenstein and is surrounded by a super cast that helps bring this (and the monster) to life. I love Teri Garr in just about anything but this is Marty Feldman's movie. "Werewolf." "There, wolf." Superb.

A favorite film from the days of my youth that still makes me laugh at the subtle and over the top humor of Mel Brooks! In time for the 40th anniversary of the theatrical release of "Young Frankenstein", the blu-ray disc offers rare features, commentaries, deleted and the hilarious outtakes that makes this film a timeless classic I will treasure in my collection!

Young Frankenstein is one of those comedy movies that sort of set the bar for all other forms of farce and satire. I've said it before in reviews on this site but there's no other way to describe it, Mel Brooks is a comedic genius. This version of the movie is a little short on extras but who cares. The movie is great by itself. If you don't own it, go buy it now.
