Purchased this product. Very little direction. Fell out of the sky on the first flight because the wiring was faulty between the battery and the product. Took more than 4 months to receive the repaired product and they tried to charge me for the repairs 5 separate times even though they told me it was covered under the warranty.

Camera quality hit the nail on the head within this price range. Drone is easy to fly (if you fly is wisely). Very stable. If you buy a sUAV (drone) you will crash at some point. You will also have have questions. Bought the T 4K first week in 2016 I Have connected with either customer service or tech support 5 times now every experience has been great. Drone is 4.9 stars the support makes it a five star.

    Great Drone for all Levels

What I Love: I don't have to rely on an external device to fly. If you happen to crash the Q500, Yuneec will have it back to you within a month. If you crash a DJI drone you will not get your drone back for three months. Yuneec has great customer service. The Q500 allows you to take off the gimbal/camera and mount it on a steady grip for smooth ground shots. You can film or shoot photo's manually, and in raw formats for professional shots. Extremely durable. Crashed on my second flight and the wiring to my camera did break, so they gave me a different wire. A few weeks ago I crashed in non gps mode (45mph) and there was nothing but a few scratches. Besides the wiring by the camera, it's a solid drone. What I don't like: Loosing video signal is common. After 1200Ft with no objects between me and the drone is the safe zone for connection. You can reach 2100ft but your video feed will cut in and out. Dji's are known to have greater range. Landings are tricky. When descending to land, (2 feet above the ground) the q500 has a tendency to bounce. If there is wind make sure you counter it or you could tip on landing. Once you do it enough it's easy to do. When you let go of the sticks to hover, the q500 generally holds its place but does move a foot or two away from it's original position. The phantom three is much more steady. One last thing is the flight modes, you get smart mode, angle mode, and return to home mode. In smart mode you can access follow me and watch me mode. On the professional version of the phantom three you get orbit mode, journey mode, point of interest mode, and the follow me mode. Not a huge deal but a disappointment. If you ask me what's better, the Dji phantom 3 professional or the Yuneec Q500, I'd say its a personal preference. There are pros and cons of each that I mentioned above. Hope this was helpful.

    Nice drone away from Airports

I own a production company and have a DJI pro drone and live and work in a major metropolitan area. I wanted to see how this stacked up with what I have. Unfortunately in the DFW area where there are numerous airports, I had a hard time finding a lot of places I could launch this drone. The drone's software has a gps lockout if you are within 5 miles as the crow flys of an airport. I tried in several places I thought that were far enough away and the software would not let me launch the drone. While I applaud and mostly agree with FAA regulations, for a user this would prove very frustrating and difficult in any major metropolitan area. Once I found a place outside of any airport space, the drone seemed to function nicely on a small quick flight, but by this point I already had decided to return it.

I would recommend this item to a new pilot. If you have no experience check out the Yuneec Q500 line it's reall easy to fly out for the box. They also have some flight simulators that you can get from their website. I would check that out before you setup your new drone.

    Best spy drone

Before I purchased the product I did ALOT of research and after using it, let me tell you it is THE BEST spy drone available. The easy controls and hover features allow easy stabilization even for beginners, allowing a none blurry and easy focus on the window in question. The 1080p camera allows perfect picture at 60fps, providing a crisp video that captures every pixel inside the window you are spying on. The only problem is the sound is not too good; but let me be clear, it's really easy to use if you only want to spy on Windows. Let me tell you the range is insane, I use to have to creep from window to window but now with the super spy drone my window peaking abilities now have a 5 miles diameter.

Was looking for a a way to film my kids outdoor activities. I had no experience flying anything, but thought the idea of a drone sounded like what I needed. My friend has one of these and recommended it. It was so easy to fly right out of the box! So much fun and got great footage and still shots of my kids. Picked up a Wizard and had the boys try the "Follow Me" mode. It's like a personal action adventure movie. Not sure how this compares to others, but it was perfect for me.

I bought this at the Ownings Mills store, I ask for the 4K Typhoon I ask the clerk I didn't not think the one she bought was correct. She told me I was wrong and the Extra Battery was inside. Went home open the Box IT WAS THE WRONG UNIT. Took it back to the store another Clerk brought me the Correct one He told me the Lady who sold the Unit was not familiar with Drones. I again asked about the Extra Battery and the 75.00 dollar certificate again was told it was in the This unit as it was on the Add and everything was in the Box. GOT HOME THE EXTRA ITEMS WHERE NOT IN THE BOX BACK TO THE STORE. The new clerk said that stuff had to be added after the purchase. To sum up this these folks at the store are very poor as they considered me a problem, ask for the manager was told in meetings to busy.
