I normally buy plastic screen protectors. I only bought the tempered glass at the recommendation of my Best Buy rep, and even then I was dubious and figured I was overpaying for something that wouldn't be much different than the plastic I was used to. I was wrong about this. The screen protector gives an extra dimension of "sleek sturdiness," for lack of a better term. It feels really good and makes me feel very confident about the protection. There's no impact on the screen's responsiveness. The salesperson also put the screen protector on for me, which was good because it looked like it could be tricky if you didn't know what you were doing. Also it has a warranty that replaces the screen protector if it breaks, so that's cool.
