It comes with a plastic frame to set the iPad in which has pegs at the top and bottom to place the plastic shield covers on to align the shield, but didn’t align the shield very well. It’s hard to get the air bubbles out one you attach it to the iPad screen

They provide excellent protection and in addition make it easier to wipe away smudges and fingerprints.
