Two years ago my niece had her phone for less than a week before she cracked the screen. Not with this device.

I've had a few drops since (phone in a case) and no cracks yet. Pleased with this.

While they now charge you for replacements, it is only 5 or 10 depending on the screen size. I generally replace every six to nine months but that means I'm not paying to have my screen replaced
