It also allows full touch screen capability, and I am confident that it will protect my screen from scratches. Well worth the $. One tip - When you put it on your screen, press from the center out to the edges to get all the air bubbles out. I messed it up first time, but was able to lift it back up carefully and get the bubbles out.
