Works with Face ID
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As always this was easy to install. I put this on the iPad as soon as it came out of the box, didn't even turn it on first so I was sure to have a perfectly finger-print / lint free surface. just take your time and make sure you're in a relatively dust-free environment. Was worried at first because it seemed like Face ID wasn't going to work, but then I noticed some microbubbles on either side of the front-facing camera. Turns out there are two other lenses involved with face-id and animojis. steady, SLOW pressure by dragging a fingernail across these spots towards the top of the iPad solved it. Take your time, one pass should take a good 15 seconds. Face ID works like a charm now. Works well with Apple Pencil.

Great screen protecton
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen protector is solid! However, the design does a good job at blocking the camera sensors. I had to get a replacement because the first one had this issue. The first protector I purchased completely made the facial sensors useless. I had to remove it and geek-squad re-applied a new one. The second one works good, although I feel it would have been better design to expand the notch. If they create an updated one, I would replace it.

Blocks Face ID
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't noticed any issues with the Apple Pencil sensitivity. And the edges of the protector leave enough room to fit a tighter case without pushing the screen protector up. However, the screen covers the sensors of the Face ID. There must be a slight indent where the sensors are because there are tiny bubbles that cover JUST the small, circular sensors and nothing else. I've tried to push the bubbles out and even tried a second Zagg screen and it did the exact same thing. I put on screen protectors all the time and I'm very good at applying them. I used every trick I know and none worked. The Face ID will sometimes work if I lift the protector slightly where the sensors are. But once any pressure, like the kind from my folio case, is applied it gives me a message saying the Face ID camera is blocked. I'd get a screen protector that just leaves the Face ID sensors completely unblocked instead.

Quality getting better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used zag for at least 10 years and this was so easy to apply. Best was that I had to exchange my iPad and pulled it off the old one and put onto new - no blemishes and fit better the second time!

Works great/ except face recognition
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought directly from Zagg. My local BB didn't have in stock. As many of you have used Zagg in past and it's been great. This one was easy to install and probably my best ever. No bubbles, dirt, nothing. Was perfect but.... Wife noticed face rocognition didn't work. We reset everything and still didn't work. So had to remove and return. If you careless about the face recognition then it's perfect.

DON’T BUY. Blocks Face ID.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this screen protector today for my iPad Pro 11 in. Have bought some from same brand for my past phones and Apple Watch and I was very satisfied with the product’s durability. However, the way the cut is at the camera it prevents from the iPad registering my face to activate Face ID. It continues to show that “camera covered” and fails to unlock. The product seems very durable but to me is currently a useless item because it is not fully functional. I am stuck with a $54.99 product that Best Buy will not accept as return and Zagg only offers replacement for same product. I don’t want the same product! DON’T BUY until they fix it.

Unfortunate Flop from a Company I Respected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the record, I have exclusively used Zagg screen protectors for my mobile products for over 5 years now and I've never had a single reason to regret that. Until now that is. When I purchased my iPad Pro and saw that Zagg made a screen protector for it I didn't have to think twice and automatically added it to my order. At $55 it's not a cheap add on but my experience has always shown that it's well worth it. I have installed Zagg screen protectors on all of my mobile technologies as well as those of my family going back for 5 years so I am expert at it. 9 times out of 10 I get a lint-free & bubble free install and this install was no different. The edges were/are equidistant from all four sides and it was a perfect install. I did as the insert advised and reset the Face ID and that was when my first hint of what was to come showed its ugly head. It was unusually difficult to get the Face ID to actually initialize and it kept repeating "Camera Covered" It did eventually work after I wiped off the top of the screen protector thinking that it was a smudge that was keeping it from working. I've since found out what I had actually done is press the microbubbles out from in front of the second camera up top. Anyway even though I successfully reset Face ID I have not once been able to use it because regardless of what I try (short of prying the thing off of my iPad) it says camera covered. Buyer beware this screen saver renders Face ID useless. It makes me sad to know that Zagg would make a defective product but alas it seems as that is the case with this screen protector.

Not worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t read the reviews before buying this. Didn’t think I’d have to for a ZAGG product. I wish I had, though. Sensitivity is diminished, but that’s going to be the case with all tempered glass screen protectors. I have nothing but my ZAGG iPhone protector to compare it to, so I can’t really judge that. This screen protector renders the Face ID useless. As another reviewer noted, bubbles cluster under the screen protector over the sensors, leading to a “camera covered” message. Pulling the screen protector up near the sensors releases the bubbles and allows the sensors to do their jobs. Until the bubbles collect again anyway, and that doesn’t take long. ZAGG will tell you to reset your Face ID after installing the screen protector. Good luck with that. Maybe if there was a distortion issue from the glass that would work. Because of the bubble clusters, Face ID cannot be reset because the camera is still covered and your iPad will tell you Face ID isn’t available. Very disappointed in this product. Even more so disappointed in what I thought was a decent company with their copout “reset the Face ID” advise and no real solutions or fixes. This was nothing but money down the drain.

Covers & blocks Face ID sensors
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used Zagg shields for 9 years on 3 ipads. Up to now I've been happy. After a disastrous attempt to install the iPad Pro 11 shield, I took the replacement Zagg sent me to Best Buy and paid $14.99 to have it installed. Face ID was active and working, and I thought it was going to be okay, but I started getting camera covered messages and requests for passcode. Zagg recommended to reset Face ID after shield installation so I tried to do this. It errored out with every attempt for 2 days. Apple said the iPad needed service, so I went to the Geek Squad. They determined that the sensors for Face ID were indeed covered and there was some adhesive on them. Popped off the shield & cleaned the screen. I was able to reactivate Face ID immediately in about 90 seconds. Reapplied a new shield and Face ID no longer works. This product is seriously flawed unless you can enlarge the cutout to uncover all camera sensors. My choice: Live without Face ID, or remove the shield.

Defective product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, the bad reviews are right, it does not work with face ID; paid geek squad to put it on as I usually do for any of my apple products and immediately tried resetting the face ID as was recommended by Zagg and it would not work, it would give me the message “Face ID is not available.” After a few minutes of trying I was able to reset the Face ID but as soon as I closed the screen and tried to use it again it would tell me that the camera was covered and would not work. I tried resetting it again but just can’t get it to work. I did not want to believe that Zagg would sell a defective product but they have. Very disappointed.

Face ID doesn't work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product but it lays over the Face ID camera, I tried everything I could including putting a piece of dirt under the screen protector to raise it off the iPad. Ultimately, returned it for a different brand(Insignia). Save yourself the $15 until they change the screen protector to work with the Face ID and get the Insignia screen protector.

Not compatible with face ID
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This screen protector covers the sensors for Face ID, so Face ID will not work. Once removed it immediately worked again. The Insignia screen protector has a wider opening which does not cover the sensors so it works perfect with Face ID. ZAGG needs to redesign this screen protector. Do not buy this product!

Blocks Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m a fan of Zagg’s products and have used them for years on my iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. I’ve always been completely satisfied with them until this purchase. The protector was properly installed but blocks the camera rendering Face ID unusable. They need to do an immediate remodel and recall.

Blocks Face ID, One Edge Doesnt Stick To Screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend you DO NOT buy this product. The camera cut is not wide enough to caputre the Face ID cameras (even if you attempt to reset Face ID after the install). The glass screen is not edge to edge, and one edge did not adhere to the screen. For $55, I do expect better. This is just as bad as the cheap glass screens they sell on Amazon. For being a ZAGG product, this was a disappointment.
