WITH THE IPAD BEING LARGER IT IS EASIER TO DROP AND THE GLASS PROVIDES EXTRA SUPPORT. I HAVE A CASE ON THE IPAD BUT YOU NEED GLASS TO PROTECT THE SCREEN. LOVE GLASS

the invisashield is just that - invisible!

I am not aware of an extra layer on top of the regular iPad screen. the touch screen does not seem to behave any differently with the extra safety layer. the protection from scratches is absolutely worth the cost. I also paid for the Geek Squad to install the shield, and the installation is flawless. no bubbles. very clear, very neat. Thank you

Great iPad shield!

The down side was that it was recommended that the Best Buy employee install it to insure that it was done correctly which cost an additional $15.00,

It's A Screen Protector

I would recommend taking your time to make sure the surface is clean and dust free. If there are some spots under the screen that are not going away try using some heat from a blow drier or the sun to work them to an edge.
