It's a good cover, but will bubble up on sides when put into keypad case.

It scratched easily during application using the supplied applicator and the bubbles did not "work out" as described in the instructions. Overall experience was extremely poor, ultimately decided that iPad was better off without cheap plastic covering a high quality screen.

I have used similar products with great results. This product was hard to put on my ipad. It was nearly impossible to get the bubbles removed. Ended up taking it off; what a waste of money. And yes, I cleaned the surface before putting it on.

Was this product pre-market test by "real" people?

If I was to have taken the shields home I would have been in trouble because the manager found 3 boxes of the HD shields with voids in them....Thank god she found them...after the 4th box we finally found a good one.

I was rather disappointed that this shield did not fit to size. I had to trim it to get it to fit my I pad It will protect the screen but not what I had expected.

Entirely too difficult to apply. I followed the directions to the T and could not get all of the air bubbles out. I ended up tossing it in the trash. I was very disappointed.

My iPad "4" is the fourth device I’ve installed InvisibleShield (previously a Samsung Instinct, an HTC Evo 4G and a Kindle Fire). On the Instinct, it took me three shields before I finally got a good install. But it was good training for future installs, as I subsequently had a much easier time with the Evo, Kindle and iPad. I installed the shield on my iPad at about 8PM. I did it in the bathroom on a clean countertop after running a hot shower for a few minutes (the steam causes dust in the air to settle). I took the iPad directly from its packaging and installed the shield immediately. After squeegeeing out the bubbles, the shield did not look good at all! But experience told me this is normal. I let it sit overnight and by the time I woke up the next morning, MUCH of the ugliness had already subsided. By the 24 hour mark, about 90% of the air pockets were gone. After 36 hours, I’d say 95% of the air pockets are now gone. There are still some small air pockets noticeable around the edges, but the actual live area of the iPad screen is crystal clear. (Other than a single trapped speck of dust that I did not notice during installation. Annoying.) The biggest installation tip I can offer is to not skimp on the solution when applying it to the adhesive side. Sufficiently soaking it will allow you to manipulate the shield more easily and get it in the right position. Using too little solution causes the shield to stick to the screen while trying to position it and it’s REALLY frustrating when that happens. Invisibleshield is a difficult product to perfectly install, for sure. It can be a nerve-wracking process, knowing how much money you're out if you screw up. For that reason, I just can't give it five stars. But it’s short-term pain for long-term gain. Once the shield's on properly and had a chance to settle, it really is a quality product that offers great long-term protection.

Sales person at the BB store told us he was going to give lessons and would call us . Too date two months later NOTHING! Very dissapointing.

Very difficult to apply and I have applied numerous shields. If you want this particular one pay the extra and have Geeks apply it.

I bought this screen protector to use with my new Lifeproof case. It would not stay in place or adhere to my ipad

I have used his product for my iphone and have been happy, but with the ipad the corners are pulling up.

Very thin and poor quality. Does not get stuck completely and is open at the edges

I would never buy this product again. The corners curled up and wouldn't stay on the i-Pad.

I have the Zagg Invisible shield HD on my iPad 3 and my 4th Generation iPod touch and could not recommend it any more highly. It keeps your screen totally protected and free from scratches, dirt, oil, and fingerprints all without you knowing it's there. It's a must have especially if you have kids using your iPad. It looks and feels like glass and is very easy to clean. If it's installed correctly, it's crystal clear and will not take away from the amazing Retina display or affect the touchscreen on your apple device at all. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: IF it's installed correctly, and these things are a PAIN to install. I watched the guy at Best Buy put mine on my iPod and he had a very hard time with it. If you've never installed one before and aren't lucky enough to know someone who has and actually knows what they're doing, I HIGHLY recommend having Best Buy install it for you. For $14.99 you're guaranteed a perfect installation. Best Buy puts on a new shield re-does it at no additional charge to you until they get it right. It's not worth it to risk your $39.99 trying to install it yourself. I'm willing to bet most of the people who gave this product a negative review never got it on correctly. They've got all of mine on the first try though and I've never had a problem. It comes with a lifetime guarantee from Zagg so they replace it for free if anything happens. I will continue to purchase this screen protector for all my devices as long as it's available.
