Opted to install it myself. Although it was tricky, I managed to line it up perfectly and get all major bubbles out. After waiting 24 hours to power on the device, nearly all the micro-bubbles had disappeared. When my iPad was on, I noticed these vertical straight lines on the screen. The lines were in a 2.5 inch wide strip down the screen. After another 24 hours I checked again. Thinking I maybe damaged my iPad by pressing to hard on the screen during installation, I removed the corner of the shield and everything looked fine underneath. I looked up this problem on the net, and appears it's nothing new. People claim it's a manufacturing defect when it comes off the rollers. After dealing with this I don't even want to bother with a new one. I'm going to try and get a refund from the Best Buy that I purchased it at, but I have a feeling they will not because I installed it myself.

I have a screen protector on my cell phone and I love it. So I thought this one would be a lot easier to apply. I tried for 30 min to place this on my new I-Pad. I did everything that the instructions said to do. I had to reposition the saver several times as it would cover up the camera lens, I also had a hard time getting the bubbles removed from between with the squeegee that was included. In the end after all of that I ended up with little black fibers between the screen and the protector from the cloth that was given. Needless to say, I removed the protector immediatley.

It does what it suppose to do. Protect my screen from scatches & fingerprints.

I bought this thing for $40 at Best Buy. I put it on, the next day it hadhundreds and hundreds of bubbles in it that would not come out. I went BB and actually bought another one, this time I had them put it on for $15 . The next day it had pretty much the same thing. But because I had them put it on, it was under a warrenty so I then got the cheaper non-HD Zagg and had them put it on and I've had no trouble with that one. The HD is not worth the money but if you do get it, be sure to pay the $15 to have them put it on or you take a big chance of losing your $40!

Bought this when I picked up my new Ipad, came home while screen was still spotless out of package and installed as per directions. Followed Instructions, but Had a mess with liquid dripping and spilling everywhere. Once on my screen, I noticed it had tiny bubbles everywhere, even though i used application tool to work air out. directions say bubbles will eventually go down in a couple of days, had this on my screen for full week without any major improvement. Bothered the heck out of my because I paid almost 20 bucks, but ended up ripping it off after waiting a full week without improvement.

I am a HUGE Zagg fan, however I did not like the HD screen cover for my iPad. At first it seemed great, but as time went on it scratched easily and had a hard time staying on. I will always be a "Zagg" guy, but my ipad is in a case and I prefer it without a screen protector.

I bought this to protect my iPad screen, and never was able to get it to apply correctly. I followed the directions precisely, and had bubbles all over the place that I could not get rid of. Tried reapplying and dust particles got traped on the wet side of the product that would not come off. After many attempts I gave up. Not worth the hassle and probability that it will not come out looking as nice as the screen itself. Plus, I never carry my iPad around without it in a case so chances of it getting scratched like a cell phone are slim.

Extra key board will cause this to start to peel. They say it is a lifetime warranty. What they fail to tell the consumer is shipping is all on the buyer and you have to mail the damaged one back to the company at your expense.

Very difficult to apply. After 4 days I still have bubbles. The black fibers from the included lint-free(?) cloth will be there until I rip this thing off, which won't be long.

Got this cover for my wife's new iPad. I was told it was the best by the Geek Squad person. It certainly was the most expensive!!! Both my wife and I tried to attach the screen saver, but we were completely unsuccessful. We ended up just trashing it and doing without a screen saver. I'm pretty handy and intelligent, but this was a bear! Never again. Let the Geek Squad put it on if you really must have it.

I **NEVER** write a review. But for this product, I'll make an exception. Save your money and buy something else. 2 major problems: 1) impossible to remove bubbles, and 2) grainy texture degrades Retina display. Yeah, I've read about these problems in other reviews, but I thought "how bad can it be?" Yup, that bad. Sure, I could have paid another $10 to have a NerdSquad guy to install it. But every review I've read says that it never gets installed right. And it is considered a consumable, so you can't get a refund.

The screen cover was "installed" by a Best Buy employee. When I purchased the item I was asked if I wanted an employee to install it for me. Little did I know that I was being charged for the installation as well. The installation of the screen cover was so bad I had to remove it. There were so many bubbles in it I had a hard time reading the screen. I removed it because I was afraid it would damage the screen itself. Not only did I lose money on the screen cover, but I lost money on the installation.

I bought this because the sales person recommended it, I told him I didnt like the gel style, and low and behold.... it's the gel style.

I tried to apply this product but couldn;t get the air bubbles out. My wife didn't like it so I removed it and just tossed it.

I bought it for glare and fingerprints protection. It's not a cheap product! But it completely degrades iPad's screen resolution. Took it off and tried to return. But Best Buy said that this product can not be returned at all! There was nothing about final sale on the store's sticker. Wasted $40 bucks and now disappointed about Best Buy!

Very disappointed with this product. Hard to put on. Left bubbles tried to redo got spots on stickey side. Can't use. Very costly now can't use. Hope to get my money back...lets see. Not worth the money. Stay away.

I bought this piece of plastic thinking for around $40. I thought I was going to protect my iPad's screen. I opened the package and there is just one cover. It's not easy to put over the iPad screen and once you put it there are little bubbles that make the new iPad look cheap. Not recommended

I had HIGH hopes for these, they seemed to fit the part. I could not get these products applies without such bad streaking it rendered the screen unusable. I removed them after the wait period thinking they would dissipate; they didn't. (*NO DAMAGE WAS DONE). Waste of money though.

Don't purchase a screen protector for IPad 3. It reduces stunning screen resolution of new IPad. I did, and then removed it.
