It's a cover

It does it's job well, however it's really gross that you can't clean it with a cloth. I know there were other types that claimed tey were easier to clean, so keep this in mind.

Not needed if using case

If it was free, I'd take it; but it's not, so why bother? Unless prove that it protects the screen can be substantiated, this is just another gimmick to get your $.
