It protects the screen from scratches just it's too heavy duty protection with drops. Personally I didn't think it's $29 worth but it does the job for now

MIssing Parts in the Box

Once we got home, opened the box, no squeegee and the protective piece was not cut for the iPhone 7, even though box said it was for the 7. Took it back and got the right replacement, but it was a pain. The 2 stars is also because the new screen looks like it will do fine, though the small air bubbles that still remained once properly placed on the phone - that were supposed to just disappear in a few days per the instructions carefully followed - did not. Still functional, not that bad. Better to have it protected.
