My wife just got a new iPhone 7 and I immediately went to Best Buy and grabbed the $29.95 version. I have had this model for my phones in the past and have put it thru the paces like dropping it, hitting it against things while in my pocket, etc. I have never had a problem....until this one. My wife dropped her phone from about 4' off the ground. When it hit, the screen shattered. The screen protector kept all the glass from flying everywhere but did not protect the screen from shattering. Again, I have had the same incidents happen to my phone with no problem but this time it didn't protect. I am not sure if the film is thinner than it used to be or what. It just didn't protect the way past models have. I guess I should have spent the extra $10 for the sapphire case.
