I was able to get my hands on the Zagg Rainier case, which is reported to have ultimate protection. While looking on the website, I saw that there are many different colors, but the color I have in particular is the clear and beige case. It comes in 2 snappable pieces with a front ring and a hard-plastic back, and the grip feels solid without adding unnecessary bulk. The case pretty much fits snugly. And well, not heavy. It does feel hefty. I was confident enough to consider a drop test (on carpet, but a drop test nonetheless). It survived two falls from about chest height, and I’m 5’9”. As far as the case itself, it has a kickstand, is MagSafe compatible, and has a charging port cover. Another noteworthy feature on the case is the integrated camera control protection. A lot of cases leave that sapphire glass button exposed, and as someone who works in an authorized retailer, I know the repair on that piece is a few hundred bucks. Here, it’s covered and still responsive. The volume, action, and Siri buttons are all very clicky and not gummy. My only drawback is that the top piece is a little tough to snap on near the charging port, and the position of the MagSafe ring covers the Apple logo on the phone. Outside of that, the protection feels premium and is sure to get the job done. 4/5

Purchased this item a few weeks ago and presented it to my wife along with her new IPhone 17 Pro on the first of the month for Christmas. After one drop, the bottom part would no longer clasp shut. A case that can’t hold up to one drop in the house isn’t worth much, just glad the phone was okay.

This time around I was looking for something that would give my new iPhone the maximum protection possible from falls. I came across the Rainier snap with the built in kickstand. The Rainier case is stylish and the quality is great so far. After a few weeks of having it in my pocket it still looks like new. I have the sandstone color and I don’t see any discoloration. With my work and hobbies I do drop my phone occasionally and I like knowing that it is really protected from many damaging events so I’m not relying on a knockoff. This case is rated for a 22 feet drop but I don’t plan on testing it out but if it happens by accident I would be the happiest Zagg customer. The built in kickstand is great for FaceTime calls and watching something on my phone during break. The fact that it is also a MagSafe case makes it much more convenient so I still have different options when it is time for me to charge my iPhone. My small negative feedbacks are: Installing it was a little bit tough snapping the 2 pieces together so it was either user error or Zagg needs to make it easier. The other thing is that lint gets in the case and it is not convenient to remove, clean and reinstall the case. The Zagg warranty covers the replacement of a defective case for the lifetime of my phone. This is a durable product and I do like the quality.

The case has thick bumper for all around the phone, and it cover well the buttons of the phone while allowing it for its full functionality. On the experience of placing the phone in the case, it is straight forward. As squeeze in the case, then placing the frame on the tope to seal it. The only downside experienced was while matching the bottom part as it doesn’t remain perfectly matched despite multiple attempt to close the gap. This is at the bottom where USB-C is. Then as compatibility with screen protector, It allow to fit perfectly with the screen protector as its edge match exactly. The kickstand is handy, as with one movement can expand or place back while using the phone. The only thing is it works well as viewing the screen, but while start tap on the screen it becomes a bit flimsy and destabilized. For the charging experience, if using a stand like for the charging, it might need to try multiple time until the center of the MagSafe fit with the right point from the charge as at first doesn’t charge sometime. Additionally, the space between the camera and flash area on the back are also covered making unnecessary to get a second protection, In overall, the case is almost like for all terrain use case to protect the phone and the side buttons are responsive despite of the thickness of the case.

Zagg has a pretty decent reputation for the screen protector, so I thought I'd try the case. The case builds on this reputation. It is excellent from start to finish. The box comes with easy to follow instructions. Installation was very easy, just flip/stretch and insert. Done Each area of the phone is well protected. The materials is firm sturdy, but easy to install. You can see the important areas around the lens, the edges/corners, the buttons are areas that are sensitive to damage are all well protected. The buttons were easy to access and not overly stiff like some other cases, easy to press and accurate. The stand is sturdy and reliable. Variable height is always nice, and reliable. It is only on one side as expected, but good enough if you are on a sturdy surface. I was a little worried about the Qi / Wireless charging, but that was also reliable, without interference. Charges at maximum speed. Zagg has done it again, I would highly recommend this case if you want a stand, protection, and the wireless charging. I think the appearance is subjective, I personally like the idea that the case is sturdy at the sensitive areas, and I get a stand and wireless charging out of it. Would highly recommend!

Really like this case, the stand that is inset is great and has replaced my pip socket. It has allowed me to have the wireless charging as well and the case magna works great!

I recently picked up the ZAGG Rainier Snap with Kickstand for my Apple iPhone 17 Pro and I’m impressed. The two-piece frame offers a satisfying click-on feel and the build is clearly very sturdy, giving me confidence it will hold up well. The kickstand is a nice touch for hands-free viewing, and the magnetic ring and wireless-charging compatibility are handy. The case boasts drop protection up to 22 feet, which feels very reassuring in everyday use. Overall it’s doing a great job—solid protection, functional features, and stylish Sandstone finish.

What a great Rainier case with kickstand for iPhone 17 pro. I like this case because the side button for the camera has an indent which doesn’t get pushed down by accident while holding the iPhone as with OtterBox it constantly was taking pictures with just holding my iPhone. I also like how the Rainier case has a clear back and a magnetic MagSafe for charging which works pretty good. I even bought one for my sister, she also likes it too. I like it a lot!

I also like that ZAGG includes extra protection options, like pairing it with one of their screen protectors. It’s a little more expensive than some other brands, but the quality and peace of mind are totally worth it. Definitely recommend if you want a sturdy, good-looking case that actually does its
